I think I've suggested this a half a year back, and I did get a response from an admin i believe, but what the hell i'll make another thread on it
Baseline (minimum-tier users) get 10 votes a day (no downvotes, because those would be spammed to death on the same person due to that particular board not liking him/her) and their votes give 1 rep point each. At each 25 rep points, a persons vote power goes up by 1.1x and said person is allowed to give one more vote. This increases until the person has a vote power of ~10x (you deliberate, tyrant mod) and 100 or so votes daily.
Seeing how people spam to get stats underneath their avatar higher, this will incentivise people to actually post good content (hopefully, this'll probably fail and backfire) and to be good in a community, not just post a ton of worthless, one-character things. You can add incentives to this as well, to reward good community members. Name color change, free tickets/robux, exclusive hat, the sky is the limit, I suppose. Glass ceilings get in the way sometimes. |
