Here is a steryotype about South America: Rednecks, stupid, poor, live in shacks. Now I ask you - HOW many people believe in that? I just figured out that SMART people who know that is a lie, keep it alive. Not on purpose. Have you ever seen a "south r dumb" thread? I haven't. And I have been here ALOT. There aren't many who believe in steryotypes. But these steryotypes live because of rage :)

I know they dont live in shacks only hermits do that........ unforgetnetly South America can be Classified as a very poor continent, not saying they all poor. Rednecks, not so much, and the people saying they stupid should look on youtube and type in Americans ARE smart. They fail.

I personally think that stereotypes are perpetuated because true empathy is impossible, but I guess that's a great theory you have too.

I live in the Southeastern United States and all those stereotypes are false. (But for certain people it's true. Example: A lot of the people who go to my school. A lot of them are going to end up being the cashier at McDonalds.)

I meant Southern USA. Typing mistake... And of course that for SOME it's true. There are people like that everywhere. Northern USA has a bigger bum level for an example. Southern USA is good as any other place.

I once lived in the south. Now I live in the North and sometimes people make fun of me. The south has much better air. Not the smogy air in the north.
