I forgot what songs some of my upperclassmen friends where listening to, but in the mix they had green day(But all the songs other than green day where more.. idk.. more metal-like I think?) Anyway I liked all of the songs and I want to know what genre they were.

They were kinda like the song "HeadStrong" but you can hear the words a little bit more, and or a little less, and the guys voice was deeper in most of them I think..

Green Day is punk/pop punk and pretty light. Id assume its some form of Hard Rock. The heavyness of hard rock varies GREATLY.
