I think it sucks. ROBLOX says their game "helps kids comunicate with one another" yet their putting on a friend limit. |

Okay, let's discuss this.
Personally, I like the Follower idea. No need to have to friend a dev just to keep up with them. It's great, and they don't have to get spammed with as many friend requests. There's no harm in it.
But what is the point of the ceiling? This isn't Steam. Some people are friend hoarders. So what? Also, Best Friends will be going and being replaced by just Friends. This means if you have 200 Friends, you'll get updates from EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. This is what Best Friends is for.
I don't think anything needs to be forced on anyone. If you actually care about who's on your friend list, then just go ahead and delete the people you want, and whoever you actually care about, add to your Best Friends. That's what it's for, anyway. Also, it would help if we had more ways to manage our friend list, like deleting multiple people at once, or making it easier to navigate pages.
I personally don't see this update as an improvement at all. Followers can stay, it's not a bad idea, but there is absolutely no reason to make a friend limit. It's one of the things I hate about Steam. It makes friend hoarders even worse, too, since you've always got those egotistical brony friend hoarders who are like "mmm sorry I can't accept friend requests right now because its full send one later byeeee <3333" and it's irritating as crap. That's what Roblox will turn into if the limit is implemented.
My statement is that Followers is a good idea. The rest of it is not. |

I understand the purpose of the friend limit, but I still feel that 200 is too small. Something like 500 would be fine.

It's their account, they should be able to have the friend list however they want, and not beliefs on how people should customize their account imposed on them. It's their profile, and not anyone's business what they do with it.
If people want to have a billion people they don't know, that's fine. Nobody should be so intolerant towards how people do things that they decide that they should have regulations on how they customize their account. |
