A majority of people on welfare regret it and are embarrassed about it, but there is still people who abuse it. We shouldn't get rid of it, we should improve it so it is less abused. |

"no, i called them lazy deadbeats that haven't worked an hour in their lives, which really is true for at least 95% of them. 95% of them aren't disabled and are only on welfare because they know they can get away with it. and i did prove it using a personal story, if they're well enough to goof off in a shopping center and run around like the world belongs to them they're obviously well enough to work." Now you have exaggerated it. Great. Your personal story doesn't describe the norm at all.

"You really didn't "debunk" anything of his. And you just asked for someone to evaluate his argument, you didn't ask for an explanation. Proves how ass-backwards you are." I debunked the stereotype of the welfare recipient. |

"You said that we had deadbeat people who are using tax-free money from the government to spend it on things they don't even need. That's a stereotype about people on welfare . Most people who are on welfare have to work, so the norm aren't deadbeat as you think they are. Stereotypes characterize a group of people by something; often in a derogatory manner."
if you could read you'd notice that i used the word >>MOST>MOSTALL< people on welfare don't need it, i even said there are a lot of people on welfare that are disabled and really DO need it, but there are more than don't need it.
"There are things wrong about the statement "taxes that go to paying for deadbeat foreigners that have never worked an hour in their lives and use the money to buy stuff that they don't need whatsoever."<-----first of all, the double standards."
double standards? where?
"You frown on the fact welfare recipients supposedly use money from the government to buy stuff that they don't need. However, people are financially stable do practically the same thing, but you don't frown on them! This was your first statement."
well obviously i frown on them. welfare has one reason and one reason only. to support those who are unable to do it themselves, hence the disabled, mentally-ill, etc. not the thugs who spend their money on cigs, adult beverages, tattoos, flashy clothing, piercings, and illegal substances. and why should we frown on people who are financially stable and spend their money on stuff they don't need? if they're financially stable why should we care what they spend it on? it's their money. if they work for it, we don't have the right to do that. BUT, when you're on welfare and you do it it IS a different story. that's like walking up to somebody on the street in rags and saying "can you please spare some change, i need to get some food for my family, we're starving", then once you're handed a $10 bill you rip the rags off and reveal that you don't need the money and go and buy yourself a carton of smokes. it's literally equivalent to stealing. |

i've exaggerated it? i don't think so. i literally walk into walmart to talk to my mother and nearly every time i see someone running around the store with a food stamps card or someone sitting in a shopping cart, OBVIOUSLY ABLE TO WALK BUT JUST WANT TO HAVE SOME GOOD OLD FUN, and are being pushed by someone with a food stamps card. nothing i've said is exaggerated, you only say that because i'm putting you in such a tough position. |

"double standards? where?"
I meant that you frown on a group of people but not the other group of people even though they did the same thing. And by the way, welfare recipients do have to work, so they do get hard-earned cash, and they do have the right to get what they want. They are welfare recipients because they can't have a job that pays well. Else, they'd not need welfare.
"if you could read you'd notice that i used the word >>MOST>MOSTALL< people on welfare don't need it, i even said there are a lot of people on welfare that are disabled and really DO need it, but there are more than don't need it." Most is a little too big.

We arrest people who perform welfare fraud. Just so you know. And welfare is still needed to support those who CAN do it themselves! Having a job will not always ensure financial stability, so there is an additional reason.
And you know what, most welfare recipients don't even use drugs. Most welfare recipients don't devote a ton of their budget to luxuries compared to people who don't need welfare. Oh yeah, I know some welfare recipients that do that! (not really) That's the minority. You shouldn't talk about a minority of the group when that magic word comes up, especially when you talk about welfare recipients.

Oh yeah, what race are they? Did you say black? |

my stand is that christie is a pretty good governor, obama is not a very good president, and why are we still blaming bush for everything
Excuse me, but that's inappropriate for school. |
|

"and why are we still blaming bush for everything"

HA. no we don't. there are still hundreds of thousands who use welfare just because they're too lazy to support themselves.
"Oh yeah, what race are they? Did you say black?"
that and white trash.
"we should blame him for the war in the middle east but thats all i can think of"
so we should blame him for retaliating to them hijacking planes and killing 3000+ innocent american citizens within 4 hours? what if he didn't retaliate? where would america be if we didn't stand our ground? |

If you say the people in your story is African-American, there is some explanation. |

"so we should blame him for retaliating to them hijacking planes and killing 3000+ innocent american citizens within 4 hours? what if he didn't retaliate? where would america be if we didn't stand our ground?" its a dilemma, but we don't blame him for his decision; we often blame him for the debt he'd brought over from the war.

"HA. no we don't. there are still hundreds of thousands who use welfare just because they're too lazy to support themselves." Your statement isn't very profound. |
|
|
Every year JPMorgan and the banks make billions off of people welfare
They depend on people being lazy and having no work ethic, because if it was truly good it would have been gone ages ago
|
|
|
Let's blame the people instead of the system designed to take advantage of people in destitute |

Most welfare recipients work.
They work jobs that aren't as stable as other jobs; that's the problem.

"Most welfare recipients work.

most welfare recipients are either the slim percent that are disabled and unable to work or the other larger half that are too lazy and pompous to work. if someone works they don't need to be on welfare. |
|

"if someone works they don't need to be on welfare."
Not always the case.

Generalizations, genralizations, generalizations... |

"Not always the case."
99.999% of the time this is the case
"Generalizations, genralizations, generalizations..."
how is this a generalization? i'm talking about the entire population of welfare recipients, and what i just said is EXTREMELY accurate. |

jesus christ, shut up both of you. this is a pathetic arguement of bullcrap. |

Bullcrap? I don't base conclusions off of something that isn't profound as the sources I offer. I actually research what I'm talking about. Act like you have something intelligent to offer until you decide to critique us. |

I'm sorry, I'm not going to do any of that because all your doing is debating over a crappy state on a forum of a virtual game. |
