I don't really see any logic reason to limit the number of friends we can have, it just makes no sense - IRL you can have unlimited friends, and so you should be able to do here. Now. I got 2157 friends on my main. I don't want to remove a few guys I want to keep, but the list is long and I can't even scroll it because it exceeds the limit.
Basically, im trapped. If I delete everyone I will have to manualy add back everyone. It was already hard to get some people to friend me.
So, conclusion: Raise the friend limit! It makes no sense for it to be 200.

You have a point there that theres no logic reason to have the limit of friends
But think about it, builderman is friends with almost everyone,
go to his page and you see 1Million friends there...

The example you gave is quite a special one. Builderman is friends with everyone by default. Regular guys usually have 1-2k friends like me, that they have built up over years. And then, what? ROBLOX rips them off by slapping a limit right in their face. That is not right. Atleast, make it so that the limit can be increased by 200 by paying 50 ROBUX, the increases can be stacked

"Best friends" will be renamed to "Friends", while "Friends" will be renamed to "Followers". You're not going to lose your giant list of random people you meet in the update. |

There are two logical reasons I can see to limit the number of friends.
Firstly you made a statement proposing that you can have as many friends IRL as you like.
For this I will refer you to "Dunbar's number" (google it and view the wikipedia page)
Secondly 1000's of friends takes up roblox's system resources. |

Tell me how much data space does an image and a name take? A few KBs at most. Most laptops, including mine, have arounf 450/500GB disk space, which means, stick a few of them togeter, you get an industrial server worth of storage space.
And again, there''s no reason to limit your friends, IRL, if I ask someone "Wanna be friends?"
There isn't someone popping up out of nowhere saying "You have reached 200 Freinds and cannot be friends with anyone else"
+ raging nubs will sue roblox. Veterans might actually be prone to do so rather then the noobs.
They built up their friend lists themselves, over years, it's a sort of memorial to them. And ROBLOX, as usual, witht ehir cr@p updates, slaps a TINY limit in their face.
Many veterans will quit, many.

Followers is a one-way thing, you fllow them, they don't even know you probably.
Friends is a two-way thing, like antenna broadcast. Both people like staying with each other, not to recieve each other's random news.

Do you really talk to that many people daily? We want friends to be the people you are actually friends with, not the random person you met yesterday and won't ever talk to again.
You don't have to remove anybody from your current friends list, they will become your followers. |

As I explained before, followers are like when you want to see what someone is doing, not when you are friends with them. For example: Something I call follow someone is like if you want to see what updates a dev is doing on his games, friendship, well, is friendship. Both want to see what eachother is doing.
I am not asking to make the limit infinite, but to make it so, by paying something, you can raise it by a bit, 100 for example. (Cost should go anywhere between 30 and 100 ROBUX)

Firstly, your friends list is not stored locally.
Secondly I was not talking about a 'limmit' to your friends, I was talking about the ability of maintaining stable relationships with people which is not possible with 1000's of friends.

Best Friends(Max 100)
This one /should/ work.

How can you even think that you can battle this? Dunbar's number and the field surrounding it is based of the work of professors, psychologists and research who are experts in their field.

edit to post above by me:
instead of "send friend request"; there should be a "send knowledge request" and a "follow".
Knowledge request is to confirm that you know each other, and it will be put under "People you know". Follower is same, but you don't need approval from other guy.
