Most movies are English/American. Alot of books are English/American. Video games are English/American. Before, when there were only books, French was the universal languege, because most books were French.

It's because the British once controlled a good some of the planet. Also, America has been having a massive cultural effect on the world in recent times.

"Most movies are English/American. Alot of books are English/American. Video games are English/American." That is because english is Universal Language. Not because of that is English universal language. Yeah, history and said stuff + I think its easy to learn

It is one of the most easiest language to learn at an early age, according to people. Also, back in the 20th century, the British was one of the largest remaining empires until around 30 years ago, having control of Africa, Canada, some Asian countries. Plus, the U.S is one of the most influential countries on earth. Though this doesn't make it the most spoken language though.

Most WIDELY spoken, yes. But I wouldn't call it most spoken or universal much. And I wouldn't call it easy to learn. It seems like it would be hard. Maybe it is if a lot of it's native speakers can barely speak it. "I don't got nothing." LOL, that phrase makes me laugh. Because he "do not" have nothing, he has something.
