Completion of "Academic Tasks" is much more crucial than simply focusing on inessential recreational activities.

"Ehhhhhhh, the only 3 things that happen that make me happy every week are more important right now, TBH, which is why I'm doing the schoolwork. I'll have studying to do on Wednesday, anyways, so I need to get this stuff done, haha." Great minds think alike.

"Normally I'm a huge procrastinator...I've found that it really doesn't work anymore, though..." I have procrastinate, and got like an 80 on a project.

One time, we had a project where we make a boat that float up and it had to be fast. I procrastinated, and I made a boat out of a bottle with chopsticks and rice. Took me like 15 minutes, alone. I lost points for it being slow. It almost sank at the end. I guess I can't practice trial and error when I feel like it because that sure wasn't good for a grade in a science project. I find it funny that we did complex projects like this in 6th Grade, but simple, yet elaborate projects in 8th Grade.

"Huh. In 8th grade here we're doing chemistry. We haven't really done much yet... We've learned to use triple beam balances, we've learned about measuring cylinders and meniscuses, we've done a mystery box experiment, we've done a blocks-and-rocks experiment, and we've started to learn about density." We're doing physical science. We already learned about density, and how to solve for it. The teacher talked about measuring cylinders and meniscuses. The only thing different is the experiments. Our experiments are pretty lame/mediocre, and it's not copying down data.

"i have a vocabulary quiz from sunday school next sunday need to study 40 words if you get less than 80% you have to copy each word, it's definition, and usage 100 times each tfw no refund" sounds painful. after school activities are indeed harder for well for me. I believe it's because we spend less time on after school activities and it requires more of remembering than actually getting the concept?
