And I bet you thought this was gonna be a pun but no! Facts shall be learned upon this night!!
During World War 2, when we sent cheese to the troops over seas they always got mixed with supplies and people always stole some of the cheese and so when we searched for it we couldn't tell if it was theirs or ours. So America decided to dye the cheese orange so we can tell if it is ours or not.
