For me, I really like to see a person that isn't full of them self to an extent that is unbearable, and just outright obnoxious. Not having that should just be a given if you're going to be considered a good leader, unless you have some sort of credentials that can back up your "confidence", but even then, I think people like to see it on the minimal side, or at least I do.
Another thing I like to see is a leader who can actually handle crowd control. They know how to deal with issues in a quick and efficient manner, and generally are able to understand where their player base is coming from. I really feel that this is a turn on to what people, or at least me, like to see when it comes to events that get out of hand and what not.
Interacting with members in healthy doses. A leader that is able to balance this out is competent enough to know that they should be friendly with their members, but not to an extent to where you start to make favorites, thus leading to exclusive social circles and what not. Of course there are exceptions to this, and some leaders know how to deal with it well, which is fine. However, it can be a major turn off to members if they see their leader interacting with another member of the same rank in a different manner than they would towards them. Favoritism should be a silent, unspoken thing.
Those are things I like to see. A pretty broad spectrum, but yeah. |
