Earth has been reimbursed with flora and fauna. It's been two-hundred years since man last touched the surface of Earth. Human civilization left Earth to colonize in planets throughout the Kuiper Belt. Now after a fifty-year war between the extraterrestrial civilization of the Cryisen Regime and the Republic of Humanity, they have sent two hundred civilians and one-hundred fifty soldiers back to Earth to colonize once more.
Although, when the ten Lincoln-QuadCraft landed in Belmopan, the pilots saw a chimney with smoke coming out of it in short time increments. When the civilians and soldiers poured out of the cabins they were met by hundreds of humans dressed in ancient clothing armed with assault rifles and sawed-off shotguns.
One of them had a headdress with many long feathers coming out of the sides with discs of clay dangling from thick bound cuts of twine. The man shouted in Spanish; "El Dios del Sol le ofrece a nosotros como una prueba?!". (Did the Sun God offer you to us as a test?! )
No one knowing what the man said, the soldiers raised their rifles and the red-dot sights began to follow up to the hearts of each of the lined up men. Three seconds passed and everything began to slow down... the natives released a volley of ammunition, four sergeants used their exoskeleton suits and summoned a force-field around the civilian crowd while the soldiers dispatched of the soldiers quickly.
From the Tenth Company cruiser alignment in the troposphere around Brownsville, Texas, the admiral was sent a hologrammatic message from the Commander of the ground-platoon.
The message read; "Sir, we encountered a Spanish-Speaking civilization when we landed in Belmopan. They were armed with firearms and we suspect there are more up north. We're requesting Three Octavians and a Vigilant-Chopper, sir. We're looking for a full on conquest."
This message was sent on March fifth, two-thousand-two-hundred-thirty-five. The reinforcements arrived March sixth. When reinforcements arrived, only ninety-seven soldiers were left. A disease that the current evolution of Man was unfamiliar with had killed a large portion of the settler population. With the commander in severe condition, emergency medical services were established in a jungle area.
The following week, the assault force had punched their way to the capital of the civilization- Tikal. By now, the archiver that'd come with the civilian party had figured that the people they encountered when they arrived were the Mayans. This explained the headdress and them speaking spanish.
An utter massacre it was at Tikal. Many of the Mayans were forced into slavery and their temples were torn down and replaced with marble statues of the Republic's insignia. But one of the very few Mayans spoke english... he told the commander before he died;
"When the new age fares,
the old will fall,
and the gods will awaken,
furious towards all.
And when the ashes fall,
the one and only will be there,
to preserve us all,
and nourish us with care."
This wasn't just feeble poetry in attempt to live a life of luxury, entertaining the leaders of the Terran Senate, it was a prophecy.
"When the new age fares," means that the the Republic's coming back to Earth.
"the old will fall," the Mayan civilization falling under the might of the Republic and becoming slaves.
Those two lines were the only clear things that the researches could resolve. The rest is hidden throughout notes between the mesoamerican societies and possibly native american tribes up north.

Factions:
The Mayan Rebels: A small group of Mayans that commit small crimes and converse in tunnels underground Tikal. The seniors wear new-age Republic armour repainted orange and white. They have mediocre weaponry and armour but pitiful organization and leadership.
Republic of Humanity: The Republic was united back in two-thousand-fourteen by the organization known as the United Nations and started a twelve year science agreement to create a spaceship that can support the entirety of the global population and more which ended up being a fleet of large cruisers. Only recently have they returned to Earth in hopes of reestablishing civilization. They have strong weaponry and armour with bright leaders and outstanding organization. Although many soldiers are arrogant.
The Cryisen Regime: The Cryisens are humanoid beings that tracked the Republic to Earth. When they spotted the ripe planet they began to forge new plans to conquer the planet and combat the Republicans on the surface. They originated from eggsacs on a planet called Crypus and quickly developed advanced technologies.

Pletheon-XR3: Heavy assault pistol with long range and high impact damage. It has fifteen bullets but requires a five-second cool down between every three shots.
Prosperity's Liver: A light quick rapid-fire pistol with fast reload and no cooldown. Although it comes with a high recoil. Magazine of twenty bullets.
Incorei Def. J: Small model with medium fire and a quick reload. Low recoil but requires a steady-hand. Magazine of fourteen bullets.

Markcus: Compact long barreled rifle with easy aim and a built-in red-dot sight with a flashlight and foregrip. Medium fire-rate with a ten bullet magazine and a pull-back.
Nova Comins: A pouch off to the left of the barrel has five bullets. Each Nova is automatically manufactured with a silencer and a night-vision and thermal advanced OPIS scope. (OPIS = Optical Positioning Intelligence System) With a collapsable stock, the Nova is fully maneuverable and has a five bullet magazine with long range and deep impact.

Colton M6: Similar to the the twenty-fourteen Uzi model, the Colton has a advanced battery magazine with a long barrel and flash hider with extended magazine of sixty bullets.
Machine Gun(s):
Yankee Zipper: This machine-gun is the cousin to the Colton M6 with a silencer, ACOG scope, extended magazine and bayonet the Yankee Zipper comes with a foldable stock and tripod. It comes with a sling to put over the user's torso.
Assault Rifle(s):
Amber-Shark: The Amber-Shark is a light-assault based weapon with a foregrip and muzzle. It comes with a foldable stock and optic sight. It has a very fast fire-rate with a slow reload and grenade launcher.
Logan: The Logan is a round-barrel burst assault rifle with a holographic sight and radar. It has a silencer and toggleable flashlight.
Tactical Equipment:
Motion Detector: Whenever a unmarked unit walks in a three meter radius around this small device it will sent a alert to the HUD built into your helmet. (Only works if in a forty-meter radius from device)
Flashbang: A blinding light will stun your enemies as well as a smoke deployment to open a gateway to quick and stealthy executions.
Forcefield Module: This module can be placed in the exoskeletons' prime core as a microchip which can be activated from certain kinetic movements or phrases.
Camouflage Assault Rifle Scabbard: Forest camouflaged scabbard for assault rifle.
Tactical Flashlight: A small xenon waterproof flashlight with cord to clip onto belt or vest.
Lethal Equipment:
Shrapnel Grenade: When explodes releases carbon monoxide and small pieces of metal in all directions.
C4: Remote controlled C4 which can be placed anywhere.
Throwing Knives: Sleek steel knives that can be thrown far distances.
