I think we should have an option on in the creation menu of threads to have the thread locked after a certain amount of time. Lets say it said [Auto-lock]: {Never} (Arrow for options of amount of time) Under "Do not allow replies to this post" You could set however long you want the thread unlocked before it locks. This can be useful for discussions you want ended before a certain time and that you don't want bumped up. Examples of its usefulness Ex. 1 Lets say I wanted to ask people on the Forums what they currently thought of Front page games, but I only want it for the discussion to go on for the day. What I would do after posting the body is go down to [AutoLock]: {Never} and then select an arrow or something, and change it to {To the end of the day} or if I wanted the discussion open 24 hours I could chose {24 hours} and it would lock at the specified time allowing no one to post. Ex. 2 This could help with sign up sheets for stuff like (Tile) "Sign up to be In my Yotube video (2 hours)" (Body) "Sign up for my new YouTube video, you have 2 hours to post, I'll contact the people who posted after" And the time is selected for 2 hours And weeks later you don't have to worry about people saying "Me" in response This can help developers post their threads unlocked about a game, such as an update log, or suggestions thread, and allow, say, 24 hours of discussion before it locks, and not have people bump it 5 years later. The only thing I am not sure about is if it would be you being able to choose any amount of time, or a set number of time roblox offers. ~ Scotsoulgem

No. It gives you a choice to do that before you post. Post at your Own risk.

I think this idea should be changed from 'autolock' basically, how about, when you post a thread, and its unlocked, once its resolved, you can lock it so basicly, theres a 'lock' option next to 'track thread' on your threads (and an unlock, so you don't have to repost if you accidently locked it) support on the changed idea?

Roblox would never allow such freedom

The fully editable threads had been suggested before to no avail. We should go on a step by step process to that. The. Mods will never accept a huge full conversation

'fully editable' lockable, as in, if you posted a help thingy, and it got resolved, you could lock it.. not edit it.. not delete it... not change the name.. nothing like that, JUST LOCKABLE

Eather way would do if the thread poster was busy this could help have it locked without them even if that was a thing.

I meant this as you can set it so people can only post on the thread for a certain amount of time after its posted

I love this idea and I think it would avoid bumping of old threads.

If roblox adds this then you need to lock this thread.

Wouldn't that put the mods out of a job then? I mean they have that as one of their moderation tools so they can do their job.

Say you wanted to creat a suggestions thread or an update thread for your game or something. You want feedback sure but you dont want the thread to keep getting bumped when its no longer relevent. So you set the timer for like a week. After that it locks. Yo have your feedback and no one can bump it again.
