So all books are decanonized
Does this mean that the novelizations of the movies are no longer canon, or are they the exception to the rule? |

No clue.
Disney didn't specify, only listed the movies and the television series'. |

ihdc
the lore is still true
just the stories and characters arent

Nope.
Disney was pretty clear when they said they were decannonizing the EU
Anythung you've read pretty much nevr happened until Disney says otherwise.
They're doing it for more writing freedom in episodes 7 and beyond, so I'm fairly sure a lot of what's going to happen in the new trilogy is going to directly conflict with a lot of the EU |

In fact it already does conflict with it a bit from what we know.
Storm troopers never got that fancy new armor upgrade that we are going to see in ep. VII.
They remained the same ugly toad looking mofos.

The EU got decanonized? Oh well. Nothing of any real value was lost.
Unless KOTOR is no longer canon. That'd be stupid. |

KOTOR is non cannon as well as far as Disney mentioned.
Only the tv series and the movies are cannon |
|
|
not like there were THAT many stories that are non canon that were worth seeing on the big screen |

It's not so much that as much as to whether or not we get movies based on the novels as much as it is that anything in the future will stomp all over the things you did read and love. They're pretty much saying
"Hey remember that awesome EU story you read? Well it meet happened! And to rub it in your face we're going to throw plots into our movies that just utterly piss all over it. Deal with it"
Hell for all we know Disney could go ahead and revert the storm trooper armies back into entirely fett clones or abolish the storm trooper core as a whole. |

Really? I don't even recall that much of the EU being that good. The ones about Thrawn and KOTOR were good, and the Yunzhang Vong (Whatever) sounded interesting. But besides that...? |

then again
who the hell cares
the stories are still there to read and whatnot, doesnt matter if it is canon or not |

True.
I'm more talking about the general populace.
There are a lot of people who are throwing tantrums about it and loved most of the EU.
I think that one of the best things about the EU being abolished is no more "force sensitive clones" or palpatine clones.
I really hate stories that consistantly recycle antagonists for no plausible reason. |
