In front of the 35-40 college students in the lecture hall.
This is my American Sign Language presentation and it is a big part of my grade.
I have got the story down well but I timed myself and I take about a minute longer than the time limit and I cant really speed up my signing. :C

@Calculator, Just this semester, but I will be continuing the language until I learn it completely.
My cousin is profoundly deaf and I figured I could learn ASL as a better way to communicate than just a pen and paper. |

Our FutureCities presentation is on Tuesday, and we already have our final draft of our script turned in and done (can't change it no matter what), and ours is like three friggin' minutes longer than it's supposed to be. Max is seven minutes. It took us ten. |

My max time is supposed to be 3 minutes, but I can do the story in 4 at my fastest. I think what is slowing me down is turning the pages.

I am also going to have to read the story at the same time I sign because I couldn't find anyone to read it for me on short notice.
The teacher went in alphabetical order and I thought "Oh good! I have time because my name starts with a K"
No she went by last name so I am like the first person to preform.
I reaaaalllyy home my hands do mess up. e-e |

I am going to bump this tomorrow during my intermission between classes.
I have practice read and signed my story to my little sisters and they loved it so I hope the college students like it as much as an 8 and 4 y/o.
I am also bringing in one of my smallest hens to sit on my lap while I sign/read, she is well trained enough to just sit there and maybe cluck a little, or fart, because she does both often.

If she farts, let that be an excuse to reset the timer in the middle of your presentation when nobody looks while everybody puts their shirts on their noses. XD |

You can cut out a few useless words, replace certain words with pronouns, shorten phrases, etc. |

@Quinn, I was practicing during intermission.
I couldn't get it right at all while practicing.
BUT THEN WHEN IT WAS MY TIME UP I DID SO WELL OHMYGOSH I GOT THE HIGHEST SCORE ON ALL OF THE CATIGORIES THE TEACHER WAS GRADING ON AND LEFT WITH AN A!!
And they all loved little red.
The teacher said
"In all my years of teaching this class YOU ARE THE FIRST PERSON to ever do ANYTHING like your performance."
And I am so happy ohdeargoodness |
