-=THE PROBLEM=-
You know those comments that people post that say things like, "0MG ()MG!! NOT FAKE!! BUILDERMAN TOLD ME HOW TO GET 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 T1X AND ROB$! POST THI$ 0N--" you get the idea. Then there are some other messages that say things like "come to my place plz plz plz pllllllzzz" and sometimes, on the comments of my Ghost Hunt game I even get, "build my game for me".
This kind of thing has led Roblox to take measures like putting a HUUUUGE character limit on the comment post-o-matic. I'm sure at LEAST one of you has been trying to say something that is actually creative in the comments only to be denied by the character limit. But in spite of all this, spam still remains. Why is this so? I have no idea.
Another problem with all the spam is that, people who post comments that ARE meaningful or creative tend to get spammed off by people advertising their place, telling fake stories of Builderman and Shedletsky telling them how to pull a fortune out of nowhere. Even if there aren't any spammers, some comments truly deserve to be seen for longer than just twenty minutes or a few days. So how can we fix this? I have an idea of how Roblox can go about fixing this problem.
-=THE SOLUTION=-
Think of YouTube's comment system (which is technically Google+'s comments system, but let's not get into that.) Anyway, looking at comments on YouTube, there are two key things: Comment voting (thumbsing up or thumbsing down peoples' comments) and flagging comments as spam.
I think if Roblox added a way for players to vote on peoples' comments and/or flag them as spam, players would be able to vote down or flag all those ridiculous stories of making a fortune and advertisements for peoples' free modeled games.
As for the good, the worthy comments, players can vote/thumbs them up so that they can be seen by more people and last longer, depending on how many people thumbs them up and how frequently.
I believe that this would not only solve the problems of spammers, if the players would kindly take a moment to click "flag as spam", but it would also bring the more creative, funny, helpful comments into the light so that more people can read them.
And of course, in order for a comment to be removed due to it being spam, a certain amount of players would need to flag it as spam, unless the creator of the item (shirt, place, model, etc) flags the comment.
