Or when a 9 year old and a 45 year old build LEGO, there is usually that point where the 9 year old asks "How come I can't build like you? Then you have to patiently and calmly tell them in the best possible way that they suck... I usually say 'Lot's of practice.' and leave it at that. :)

I can't build :) Well, no, I'm actually a super efficient builder, using a very small amount of parts for buildings (sometimes 1!).

Or the cruddy merging of the forums. I still find this a pain. I don't know as much about scripting and don't care to know much about the clan war junk that keeps appearing. I just long for the days where I didn't have to wade through 3 pages of threads to answer 3 peoples questions.

It seems that the Scripters keep trying to send people here for scripting help in their forum. I haven't used it but from the descriptions I've heard it is used as a 'VIP' forum to discuss scripting among themselves. If I'm wrong I apologize, but the descriptions came from people who claimed the Scripters forum was 'theirs' and noobs should get the @!$&@!@# out.

Howdy, I'm still here! And yea I don't understand what's so pretentious about that forum, but from what I remember they've always been like this. However I can understand some reasoning behind their preferred isolation though, as people are always asking these advanced scripters to essentially code entire games for them usually because they're too lazy to learn themselves. It's akin to someone asking us to build an entire place, except that the map could easily fall apart if you placed a part in the wrong spot. Also I'll add that many of the people asking for these massive scripts are offering peanuts as payment. As if being a game's "admin" is payment enough.

"And yea I don't understand what's so pretentious about that forum, but from what I remember they've always been like this." *note - in my own view: Scripters was started as a forum for advanced scripters to talk about general scripting, and help threads in that forum have always been against the rules (although we let regulars and really advanced topics get away with it). It used to be (read: a LONG time ago, it was ruined long before the merge) one of the few forums on roblox that was capable of intelligent discussion. The pretentiousness was originally just a bit of an inside joke to keep people who didn't belong there out so the forum would stay on topic. Over time, the regulars left the forum and were slowly replaced by "trolls" and people who just wanted to be there because of the 'exclusivity' and elitist attitude. There are still some old regulars left there (I don't know why) and occasionally an intelligent thread, but it's mostly trash (and help topics since the merge) now.

Ah, 'splains much. I don't blame the regulars there for trying to keep some sanity. I know we are mostly dealing with kids here, but it would be nice to see some intelligence, common sense, or decency more than just once in a while...

Yeah I was looking through the forums today and I saw like 10 requests for people to build there entire game for like nothing at all. I saw about 4 requests for help and the rest was just to difficult for me to bother to read.

'scripters is akin to the deepest pits of hell. don't go there.' 10/10, but sadly it's not true anymore. Ever since the merge, a bunch of SHers went there and most of the trolls left. So that's technically just another SH but with the occasional stupid thread asking for scripts/project members.
