Hey guys! So if you're reading this post, it means that Sword Art Online: Burst Alpha Test 1 has ended :( Luckily the test went very well which means that Alpha 2 will be coming out much sooner than I'd originally planned! (More on that later). So let me explain what's been happening here. ------------------------------------The Point Of Alpha 1---------------------------------- So as you should be aware, this was an alpha test. After 1 and a half months of development, the game was finally ready to be tested by the public. What was your response? Well, in 2 days, the game was 12th on the popular page. Wow. Peaking at 1,190 players you guys blew my mind. So I'm extremely pleased with the community response. The idea behind this test was to see what was stable, what would break, etc. I'll now discuss the major issues on my end for the alpha. ------------------------------------Mobs Not Spawning------------------------------------- So if you played for at least a few hours, you'd notice that some servers stopped spawning mobs. I'm not sure what caused this however this will be fixed in Alpha 2. I suspect it's a nullcheck that breaks a loop so the loop will be made protected. Other than that, no real change will happen. -------------------------------------Boar Damage---------------------------------------- A lot of people reported that boars were too strong. I listened, they're being nerfed. They actually did the same amount of damage as wolves with the exception of having less health. -------------------------------Joining As A Guest--------------------------------------- Unfortunately I happened to release my Alpha at the same time as a ROBLOX bug appeared where teleporting between places would make you a guest. Assuming ROBLOX doesn't fix this by Alpha 2, the devs have told me that if you Sign In using ROBLOX Studio, that should fix the issue. ---------------------------------------------Item Drops--------------------------------- For Alpha 2, dropped items will have a timer set to them. Most likely 2-3 minutes. You will also be limited to dropping only 3 items at once. I may however add an option to towns that allows bound items to be dropped infinitely, as well as allowing you to drop around 5 items. This is to help merchants. ---------------------------------Instantiating------------------------------------------ I want to switch up instantiating so that it will use anchored models and not the traditional unanchored ones. The ROBLOX physics are simply too buggy to use dropped models for the time being. This will help reduce lag and bugs. -------------------------------------PKing---------------------------------------------- From what I could see PKing didn't seem to be an issue. It will need a form of punishment however such as the crystal system. Killing a player gives you an orange crystal and if you have a crystal there would be disadvantages. Perhaps you couldn't use a teleporter while you have a crystal. Not sure yet. -----------------------------------------Saving----------------------------------------- Some users reported data loss. If they could PM me what was lost, that would help. For players who lost their saved floors, was your inventory also left unsaved? I'll be switching to saving inventories in a separate database to get rid of the possibility of a memory size issue. -------------------------------------Alpha 2-------------------------------------------- Alpha 2 will contain a 2nd floor, as well as the first floor dungeon and boss. IT will also have content up to level 14. This means around 6-10 new weapons, clothes and crafting materials. I also want to make food gathering. Additionally, the E key will open and close the menu (and close any open tabs). I also want to allow parties to teleport as a group. And finally...make the delete button work. PKing is an issue. Groups of people start warding off areas so that they can farm to themselves. It's going well. But you have a long way to go to get to Beta and then to release it.

As long as we have an easier time of getting rid of the useless stuff we have because we just got 10.2 smithing, I will be happy. Also, PvP was an issue for the weaker players, several times I observed players with better gear wiping out players with only basic equipment. Other than that, I am really pleased with the Alpha, and I also have one final question, what exactly do you mean by the Beta Access in the description of the game-passes? I am a little confused by that.

was about to get knights blade for 250. dang it, you just had to end it. ): Anyway, 10/10 nice game. I'd enjoy it if it was open, however I had fun while it was open.

Ruk. Even though the bugs pissed me off, the game was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! It's great, plus, the 3d HP bar? Wow. Most scripters cant even pull that off. I hope alpha 2 will come soon and will be a upgraded version of Alpha 1.

Alpha 2 will start over, yes. Alpha 2 will use the same town but will use a different map for floor 2. I want Alpha 2 to feel different so I'm letting you guys play on a different map to keep you entertained. Also, I think I should add a PKing guard up to level 15 or something.

Like stated, you've made amazing work. I know that Alpha 2 will be even more amazing as Alpha 1! Thank you for giving Roblox another wonderful and enjoyable game. :) I will definitely be buying game passes to help support you.

PlayerKilling isn't an issue, I don't know how you would make punishments, but I can't wait for Alpha 2! Me and lots of my friends have been playing for a few days, and got our stats up to 9 (Except cooking) Thank you for letting us play for a short while, and see you in alpha 2 soon!

What I liked about Alpha 1 - It was simple enough to feed the players what they wanted and probably what they didn't expect Rukiryo you knocked it out the park. The glitching with the swords in floor 1 I didn't like it flopped everywhere and I couldn't get it. We couldn't reach level 10 because it was buggy it would reset us back to level 9. Thats it keep up the good work!
