she wanted me to tell my atheist friend that her lack of belief is against jesus and thats horrible and that atheists are going to hell
then i defended her saying that she has the right to believe in whatever she wants and we have no say in that and she started to accuse me of being atheist. |

I know Christian liberals for economic reasons and some social reasons
But yeah, a lot of the social ideals the left tries to push don't coincide with biblical teachings |

I really do hate how the fundies hold this "you're going to hell" type brick over everyone's head like being afraid of a place you don't believe in is going to prove anything.

And really, telling someone that they'll be damned to hell for doing/not doing x or y has never been an effective tactic. Well, at least not since the dark ages. It only makes people bitter and annoyed. |
