WARNING: LENGTHY FORUM AHEAD **
For those who were unaware, the Empire has had a hard and rough year. We've experienced a ton of fall backs, successes, and have made our fair share of mistakes in the TES genre, and I'm going to take this time to address what I believe in. In this forum I will be taking the time to address a number of things that I wished I had made clear sooner to everyone. I don't care how long it takes, I will not rest until the Empire is at it's whole again.
Firstly, I would like to apologize the entire The Elder Scrolls genre for my lack of activity and involvement in the community. Earlier in the year I experienced a flooding that completely ruined the basement, and half of our home. It took myself and my family a good month or so to really be able to recover what we lost. We were in a financial crisis and I'm glad we came back from it. I am so fortunate for the people who welcomed me back from this. Even while I wasn't able to reach the internet,
Secondly, I would like to apologize to the Empire-- I have got step up, for the good of the citizenry, for the good of Cyrodiil, and for the good of our glorious Empire. We've been deemed fallen countlessly by our enemies, but we've managed to prove them wrong in the end, and I don't anticipate this being any different. I recognize an Empire cannot stand without it's Emperor, I have been here from the beginning, and I will be here until the end. We will continue our strides and return to our age of prosperity that we have seen before. A leader has to be honest, and willing to sacrifice for his or her Empire. They need to have unmatched willpower and have an undying motivation to make their groups succeed. I fear that I haven't shown that enough, and I'm tired of making empty promises to my people. We will not fall, this is only another obstacle in our journey, and we will overcome it.
Recently, the Kingdom of Hammerfell has declared war on The Empire of Tamriel. Prior to this war, I would like it for you all to bear in mind that the Empire was cooperating to induct major reforms that would bring a refreshing and more enjoyable vibe to our Empire, so that we could start getting our new soldiers into gear, and become even more active than previously. With that being said, we delayed [and still delaying most] of our reforms that we had in mind so that we continue with this war with a group that I highly respect. The idea behind the war [from what I've seen] stems from a number of different reasons. This war will bring activity to both groups, which is currently needed, and seems to be doing a decent job at that. It is also as a result of foreign territory in other provinces. I have not yet addressed this and I would like to.
In my absence, forts were constructed in Skyrim and Morrowind. I had full intent on reversing this, so that we can rebuild our homeland. The Empire is currently planning and processing and you will soon enough find out what we've got in store during this war, however I did attempt to settle this diplomatically with SPECTERR, someone I've actually grown to like. We ask that you be patient, the Elder Council and I have gotten a lot planned out of the past few days, and on behalf of them, sorry for the lack of action.
I would just to make it evident to everyone, you have my sincerest apologies. I realize that talk is cheap, but I really hope that I can prove to all of you that I intend on fixing things, and building better relationships with other groups in the genre. We're hated by some bad decisions and trust me I understand, and I can't blame anybody else except for myself. I am accountable for the actions the Empire makes, and I do plan to make great ones. I have been here since the beginning, and I assure that as long as I'm here, you will see new light from me. I vow to change things. I recognize my stance right now, and I've got a lot to prove.
