To be honest I would give them something. If they spend it on the wrong thing, that's them. Whatever they spend it on is none of my business though.

i would never give money to homeless ppl standing out on the street if you want to help people in need, donate to a recognized, official organization you don't even know if the ppl standing out on the street w/ a homeless sign are actually homeless.

Those "homeless" people on the street probably make more money a day than a hardworking father does. If these "homeless" people really wanted help, they'd clean up somewhere, and go apply for a basic labor job or something. Make them get off their lazy butts and help themselves.

@Phrixys, The majority of the homeless are mentally ill.

To be honest if I were rich I'd give enough money to homeless people. All I want is enough money to live off of. There's no reason to roll around in money if you're doing nothing with it. I'd either give my spare money to charity or homeless people.

no reason to give money to someone who doesn't deserve it but suit yourself

Education isnt required for moving wooden planks and bricks to a certain spot And sergeant, if the homeless are so mentally ill, why doesnt someone take them off the street and put them in the asylum, jeez @Sparing: Im literally loving your replies

Here are some real empirics I found: "Nearly all of the long-term homeless have tenuous family ties and some kind of disability" "Long-term homelessness is relatively rare." ***"According to a 2002 national study by the Urban Institute, about 45 percent of homeless adults had worked in the past 30 days" "Whether scavenging for scrap metal or staffing shelters, many homeless people adopt ingenious ways to subsist." htt p://ww w.washi ngtonpost.c om/wp-dyn/cont ent/article/2010/0 7/09/AR20 10070902357_2.h tml All of us, including me, need to do some reading before we start forming generalizations.

Once again, it does NOT take anything special to go help a man move wooden planks or bricks into a spot for minor pay Disability or not, they can always do something to get back into the real world THeyre just too busy holding up signs at the side of the street to do it
