If you look to the wrap up of World War II -- Specifically the last German offensive it was the United States who devoted most troops and resources to complete the operation, and ultimately win the war.
The US financed a lot of equipment for the Russians on the eastern front as well. Obviously it being a two front war made it difficult for the Germans to obtain an easy victory.

Actually, the USA was supplying weapons, supplies, and other resources to European countries such as Great Britian for World War I.
After the Germans (?) discovered this, they bombed the boat and contacted Mexico about trying to persuade them into warring USA. The Germans promised Mexico their former lands back (California, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona) if they help war United States.
Of course, this call and message was intercepted by the United States and thus the US were in World War I.

If you know your history you would know that the last German offensive happened on the western front -- not the eastern.

I don't know much about military operations and wars - however I am pretty sure that Britian also played a major role in the stopping of the German's conquer/rule over the world.
They constantly were in arms and battles with the Germans, and was one of the few countries opposed to Germany during World War II (the others surrendering/being taken over). Also, wasn't it that Churchill persuaded the United States to focus on Germany primarily instead of Japan to take over it?
But of course, choosing which country did the "most" in World War II is highly controversial and somewhat opinionated. |
