Henry woke up with the ring of his alarm clock. "ABUAEFJJJ!" He shouted when the ringing abruptly started. He had his camo full body PJ on. He fumbled around for a few moments until going to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth, used Listerine mouthwash, and then went to his used compact SUV to drive to his first day at university. |

"It seems strange to me." I said. "I mean, it could have been fake or something." |

Just as Henry was about to get into his compact, he stopped and realized he was still in his camo PJ. He went back into his house, took off the PJ and put on green shorts and a T-shirt with a print of an atom and an anti-atom. He put on shoes, and went to the SUV, and went to university. |

There was a quick pause.
"You ever have the feeling something big is about to happen?" I asked. |

"That feeling just happens when your hungry." I said. "Nothing big actually happens."

Hannah Black walked into the restaurant, and ordered her food. After receiving the brown paper bag, she quickly exited. She wouldn't dare try and eat there with little whining toddlers. So she crossed the street again and began to make her way back to her apartment.
Little stores and houses went by at a rate that seemed to get slower and slower the longer Hannah walked. At this rate my food will be cold by the time I get back, she thought, annoyed. Eventually she came across a landmark that meant she was close to home. A usual school a little ways away from the street. |

And so it opened.
The sky above the school erupted, sending ripples of matter across the air. Pedestrians are screaming and pointing at the air space above the school. Of course, all the screaming was blocked out by all the students. No one appeared to notice the ripples until they started to appear.
Small, black, and nearly transparent arms were slowly grabbing me and everyone else. Where ever they touched, that piece of us would turn dull-- absorbing all the color from it.
I had a look of pure distress on my face. I couldn't resist though, I was too shocked to think, to move , or even breath. More hands appeared grabbing my face. They started to pick me up from my seat. I tried to outstretch my arm, trying to grab onto the table. Soon, hands covered all of the backside of my body, bring me up. I soon reached the cieling, but it didn't stop my ascent. I passed through the wall, slowly lifting to the sky.
I twisted my head, making some of the hands covering my mouth to let go.
"No!" I screamed.
After that, I passed out. |

I felt the hands lift me out of the air, as I squirmed.
"Stop it!" I screamed.
I felt horrible, and my head sagged, my consciousness gone. |

And at that time Hannah had veered even closer to the school to avoid walking into a group of stupid teens. The hands snatched at her, attempting to get a hold. They reminded her of the claws of a lobster, or maybe a snake lunging out at clueless prey. And right now Hannah was taking the role of being clueless prey. "Holy-" the swear was stop as the hands abruptly lifted her into the air, knocking the breath out of her.
But that doesn't stop Hannah Black. As soon as she had her breath back, she released a long line of swears, but that stopped soon after her vision began dripping down, and things swirled for a moment, blurry colours becoming solid in her vision, then melting like candle wax. Melting like her consciousness. |

I was awakened due to the rain. I got up and the first thing I noticed was...
That everything was dull.
Litteraly.
There was no color, and it was raining. I noticed other people on the ground too, but it was only a few. Six people maybe?
There were people on the streets, walking around, doing whatever buisness they had. Except that something felt off about them.
I had to get out of the rain, so I ran off under an umbrella that was planted into a table. It seems it was an outdoor table for a restraunt. |

"What the hell..." was the first thing Hannah said after waking up. Her eyes snapped open, and for a moment remained wide. "My thing are so sunshiny," she muttered. Not that she cared anyway. Hannah Black was not one to like sunshiny things. She stood up, and took in her surroundings. The lack of colour made her frown. And then she thought of her food. "Damnit..." she muttered. "I wonder if people often dream while fainted? But before. The hands... Can't be real, can it?" she said, continuing to talk to herself. |
