Yeah, games were good back then. I still remember Zombie Ocean Rescue Mission. It was a great game on the fresh experience that was old ROBLOX. You can accuse me of nostalgia-bagging but if your only arguments are how it was technologically inferior to today's ROBLOX, don't waste your breath. |

scripting was limited back then, and i think they only had hopperbins back then, but don't quote me on that.. building wasn't as good, no plugins, community was probably the same as well.
oh and i think the removal of bevels on bricks removed some lag, right? |

seems more like the opposite to me, you get criticized and called an "ODer" for wearing a package such as 2.0, superhero, etc.
i guess a good upside to ROBLOX back then was it had more like a LEGO atmosphere, and building was a bit more simplistic back then. |

Oh man, the accuracy is off the charts.
There are a few things I dislike about modern roblox, but overall it's WAY better than how I remember it in 2008-2009.

If by that, you mean that c-framing was hard to do and unpopular, you'd be right. But you'd be wrong saying that the building wasn't as good. Players used the available building options to their advantage and it was like a idyllic LEGO paradise.
"community was probably the same as well."
The community was better because it wasn't full of OD'ing 12 y/o's and raging clannies. |

i liked the old site theme....
and i make games, too. i think the new client is great, but the site should have custom year setting.
but now we have pathfinding, and we have dynamic lighting, and all that crap.
updating the client to 08 won't get rid of the community as it is now
