TL;DR: The clan world is suffering big egos and over-inflated hype due to C&G simulating real world politics and playing the role of king-maker. To expand: The core of my argument focuses on claiming that clans have become political and yet the styles of old and the futuristic personalities of leaders are creating a rift that is tearing clans apart when they attempt these kinds of themes in the current politically charged scene of clans. The result of this is that clan leaders and members have accepted politics as a part of clans but the tech and mechanical functions of clans have not begun to make this change. While the members argue the quality of a clan in a very political style, battles are fought in detached, gamey scenarios. This leads to arguments of quality essentially devolving down to a political clanner fighting with a old school clanner in a shouting contest. I think the tech either needs to step up its game, on the site and in game, or we need to stop trying to argue abstract qualities in clans. Just my two cents, this is pretty hastily made and was addressing the frustration I felt when looking at clan leaders who see themselves as political leaders, and the members who follow them.

Sorry if this is fallacy ridden, I'm just trying to translate my feelings into thought.
