you can just tell the OP has no clue how to actually design a website because of how it took five months and how the neon green bg was actually put to paper, deemed acceptable, and then actually put into the website's design |
|
|
|
>@justan
I was playing around with the Hex Colors.
this is exactly why paint.NET, mspaint and editing software exist, OP
actually screen the colors before you apply them, jesus
>If you're going to try so hard to nitpick literally everything that you're going to say that the background and the logo don't compliment eachother and that they're so terrible that you need to say they're godawful because "bad" isn't good enough to describe it,
Then you really could use a more productive use of time.
you do understand that color plays a huge role in making things successful and making people actively wanting to use something, correct? if a major business slapped out something in the color you did, nobody would buy it because it's hideous and nobody wants it or wants to have anything to do with it
the colors of your site play a bigger role than you think, which pretty much confirms to me that you don't actually understand how a website works |
|
|
|
>If you're not going to go into unbias detail and say why something is bad and say what a better idea is, then you might as well have said absolutely nothing.
OP it does not take an astrophysicist to understand why neon green background and comic sans ms for a default font is not a good idea
if you have any decency whatsoever with websites, you'd understand this
>Then if it doesn't affect you, and you don't care, then why have you spent the last hour or two putting effort into complaining about it?
it affects me because you took the time out of your communist life to make a big deal out of me calling your stuff terrible |
|
|
|
>you didn't even read more than half a sentence did you
no possibly because you ignore all forms of constructive criticism and ban people for not conforming to your hideous layouts
>i started it 5 months ago, stopped working on it, and 5 months later got around to finishing it
okay let's analyze this for what it is
"i started it 5 months ago, stopped working on it, and 5 months later got around"
YOU CAN'T DO THIS OP, THAT DOES NOT WORK THIS IS NOT HOW DESIGN WORKS YOU CANNOT JUST START WORKING ON A WEBSITE'S DESIGN AGAIN AFTER COMPLETELY IGNORING IT FOR FIVE MONTHS
"finishing it"
yeah i'd buy that if my retinas weren't busily being devastated by your unbelievably bad color schemes |
|
|
|
>i'm talking about the site background
notepad++ is not visual
OP it is possible to check your work before actually publishing it you understand that correct? part of that would be testing out what your site looks like before publishing it, and correcting the background colors if there's anything wrong with that
a good way to do that is to take a screenshot of the work, load up an editing software, and play around with colors to see what it would look like if applied
>your logic:
the forum is bad because the logo is green
k
i literally outlined like five other things wrong with your site just off the top of my head, bro |
|
|
|
>i stopped working on it for 5 months because the host i was using was awful, none of the PHP worked, and just left it to collect dust until i found the wix website
that is absolutely dreadful
website design does not work that way OP |
|
|
>i'm curious, what is it that you think you're accomplishing here?
i would hope i'm at least educating you on how not to make a website
here, why don't you try out color.method.ac, and see how well you know your colors |

Sometimes butts are fast, we don't want to talk about those times. |

actually
otx holds freedom in high regard, it's a real thing that helps keep a forum from being awful
we did nothing to your website, mr op
i want to make it better
for god sakes, i know you're like 'OH IT'S DAY ONE NOTHINGS PERFECT LOL I ALREADY PLANNED THIS'
but, if you're going to release a spinoff to the general public, you gotta at least pave over the various ungainly growths that make it a tumor on the face of OT spinoffs before just giving it away
like
it's seriously bad
it doesn't even deserve habitation |
|
|
wow that was really weird i was gonna address something and then i went an entirely different direction
god damn ROT and it's lack of an edit button |
