(I posted something like this before, this morning, and then I ended up getting a warning for including an offsite link which actually had to do with Roblox, and the post got deleted. Let's try this again.)
I'm sure some of you know about the upcoming site overhaul. I've already posted about it several times before on S&I, but just take a look at this.

So that's the new profile information page. And so far (at least on /r/roblox), I've seen no positive comments on it, and I have to agree, this simply looks awful. Some people may say "ogmggom u need to accetp change", but the thing is that this new design is legitimately an eye sore, and is way too messy and complicated compared to the current one. All practicality is ditched in favor of fanciness.
And of course, we've already seen the games page. I actually saw that people had a nice reaction to that, so it's not necessarily the style, it's just that the profile layout is legitimately butt ugly.
So here's what I propose. Just do what's right for the community and give an option to switch to the current layout. If you really care about it so much, you can even make it the newer layout default for mobile, and the current one default for computer, since the layout's aiming to be mobile-friendly. But you can switch between the two in settings.
I know this is probably a big task to keep both layouts updated (as I'm sure DataStore's gonna come in at some point and point that and other things out, no offense to him), but I'm sure this will please everyone. Not everyone wants it, and the current one's also much more visually appealing. C'mon, Roblox.
TL;DR for you lazies: New upcoming layout is weird, impractical, and an eyesore. Roblox should give us an option to switch between layouts, even if it'd be a hefty task to update both. This'd please everyone, right?

@ano This has nothing to do with nostalgia. I'm from 2010, I actually like the current site header and theme. But the upcoming layout is actually really inconvenient in my opinion. A lot of people likely want to stick with this one. |

That doesn't make it nostalgia. I never said I don't want it to be changed either, I said we should have the option to switch back because I have a personal preference for this one as it looks not only neater but more practical |

Robloxian is right. It isn't nostalgia to like one over the other. Perhaps he prefers the smoothness, navigation, and cleanliness of the current one.

@Mr Smoothness not so much. I may prefer this current layout, but it's nowhere near as smooth as the future one. But yes, it's much easier to navigate than the mess that it'll eventually become. |
