Let's flash back to a few months ago when the Jackets scored and it was called back because it was a distinct kicking motion. This was NOTHING compared to this play AT ALL.
If you are going to call it inconsistently, don't call it.
Dude's stick wasn't even on the damn ice, he made NO ATTEMPT to shoot the puck.

except there is a difference between scoring a goal with your foot and kicking the puck in
clearly he just scored with his foot without making a distinct kicking motion. good goal

What the #### is this? Soccer? If he's gonna try and shoot and not make it look like he's purposely trying to direct it at the net like that and play freaking footsies, at least put your stick on the ice and TRY to sell it. That was obvious that his plan of attack was just to nail it in with his foot.
