{[ OFFICIAL RULE BOOK OF THE NATIONAL COLLEGIATE FOOTBALL LEAGUE (NCFL) ]} ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ {[ HOW TO BECOME A PLAYER ]} To become a player of the NCFL, you will need to join the National Collegiate Football League main group, where you will be accepted as a recruit. A recruit is someone who is being looked at by teams in need of players during the season, and has yet to potentially join a team or tryout. You must attend a public try-out held by an official NCFL team in order to be officially recruited and put on the roster. Only Coaches are allowed to officially try-out new players. Or, you can attend the official NCFL combine during the off season. Please refer to the "Getting Started" guide for more details: http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=151991128 ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ {[ NCFL ]} The NCFL stands for the "National Collegiate Football League" which is a ROBLOX college football league. NCFL Coaches are expected to recruit ACTIVE NCFL players. The only time they can recruit NCFL players is during the off-season and ends after the last game of the regular season. You may not recruit a player during the Playoffs UNLESS your team did not qualify to make the playoffs. Coaches can go to the official NCFL combine during the off season to evaluate recruits, or they can hold team tryouts. Once you become an NCFL player for a team, you are prohibited from leaving that team (Scroll down to Illegal Leavings to read more). If an NCFL player is caught playing on an alternate, then they will be suspended. This suspension can range from 4 games or to the entire season. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ {[ HOW TO BECOME A COACH ]} To be an Assistant Coach or a Coordinator you will need to be hired by the Head Coach of the team himself. Becoming a head coach is a rare opportunity. For it will only be available if a Head Coach is retired or fired. Only the Commissioner can hire a Head Coach for a team. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ {[ TERMS & CONDITIONS ]} Upon joining a team either as a coach, player, or both. You will not be able to join any other NCFL team. You will not be able to play nor coach for other teams while participating in one already. You are limited to only one NCFL team. You may decide to retire your position to join another if that permission is granted by an action called a "Release" which means you were authorized to leave by your Head Coach. There are exceptions where you may leave a team legally and these consist of: 1. After the NCFL National Championship game, you may leave your current team to join a new team if you want to. Once you are recruited in the off-season, and you agree to join that team, you may NOT leave the team until the following season. 2. When a Head Coach is fired or retired, a currently signed player of that team has the option to leave the team while there is no one currently ranked at the Head Coach spot. When a person is hired and ranked as the official Head Coach then leaving is not permitted and any leaving will be illegal. When being recruited to a team in the NCFL, you do not have to agree to join the team. But remember, that may be the only chance you get to play the position that you want on that team, or even join a team. Remember also that team rosters might be full from other teams. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ {[ LEAGUE RULES ]} {[ TEAM ROSTERS ]} All teams are REQUIRED to have a group roster count 25 PEOPLE at all times throughout the season, the only exception can be during Playoffs when signing is shut off due to the possibility of people leaving. Your roster may not exceed 35 people. If your roster is over 35 people (counting the Head Coach, and any other coaching position but not the Commissioner rank), then you will be required to cut players. Failing to do so will result in the termination of your head coaching position. {[ NO TEAM LENDING ]} If any action involving a coach transferring a player temporarily to another team (in other words "lending") for a game and then back to the former team can result in suspension for both the player(s) lended and the lender, the amount will be decided by the Commissioner at around 1-3 games. Lending players to "Friendly" teams can drastically change outcomes of games and is an unfair advantage to teams. {(TRADING RULES)} This is a college based league simulated around college football. Trades do not happen in real college football, thus the NCFL will not allow trading to occur. If anyone is caught trading players, the head coaches job will be terminated. ([ ILLEGAL LEAVINGS ]} Players that leave their team illegally must be reported in by the Head Coach or another Coach of that team to the Commissioner within a week of their unauthorized departure. Upon notification of this departure, the Commissioner will take immediate action. The player will be told to return to their team. If rejected, then the player WILL FACE A 12 GAME SUSPENSION on whatever team they choose to go afterwards. The 12 game suspension can carry over to the next season, and a week will not be counted if your team is not playing that week (playoffs that the team didn't make, or bye weeks.) If however, no notification is sent after a week of their departure then the player will automatically become a free agent if no information is sent to the Commissioner. The recipient team of the illegal player may trade for his playing rights. If the player chooses to go back to the original team, his suspension is lifted. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ {[ GAME RULES ]} [PLAYCLOCK] Currently the playclock is now 30 seconds total. Exceeding 30 seconds to snap the ball will result in a 5 yard penalty and loss of down. [GOING FOR FIELD GOAL DURING DOWN] Going for a field goal during 4th down will not be accepted unless the line of scrimmage is located on or past the 40 yard line of the opposing team. In order for the field goal to be valid all kicks must be between, or on the hashes. You may NOT move while trying a field goal. You may jump upwards (not forward, backward or sideways doing so will be looked at closely by referees) and you may also twist your body because of mouse lock but moving will result in a loss of 10 yards. If outside of field goal range, then you must either punt, or go for it on 4th down. [DIVING] Diving is used by pressing "E" in NCFL Stadiums and has restrictions. Diving is prohibited in the backfield or behind the line of scrimmage. Defense cannot dive into the backfield or dive while in the backfield for whatever reason. Diving can only be used outside of the line of scrimmage. Violating this rule will result in a 5 yard (no loss of downs). [PENALTIES] - Offsides (OS) = 5 Yard Penalty - False Start (FS) = 5 yard Penalty - Touchback (TB) = 20 Yard Line - Out of Bounds Kick (OOB) = 40 Yard Line - Too Many Players on the Field = 5 yards - Moving on field goals = 10 yard Penalty - Ejections = Will be given to players with unsportsmanlike conduct or bad actions. [ILLEGAL SNAPS/THROWS] = If the ball is snapped behind the endzone, or into oob, (as well as forward snaps across the LOS), it is considered incomplete. If the ball bounces into oob, or behind endzone it is still considered incomplete and a loss of downs. [CENTER HANDOFF/"X"ing] The Center is not allowed to handoff or "X" to another offensive player. All snaps, must be a pass or snap to a player behind the LOS and between the Hashes. Doing a handoff will result in a redo of the play. [DIRECT SNAPS] Snaps by the center must be a snap to the recipient (Quarterback, Runningback, motioned Receiver). The snap must go to someone in between the hash marks. The center may not snap to a receiver lined up on line of scrimmage (LOS). [KICKER CANNOT MOVE] For any Field Goal, the kicker must get into position right behind the center. The snap on a field goal must be directly to the kicker. During fakes, kickers are not allowed to move until they get the ball snapped to them. You may not snap to a different person during a fake and only the kicker may line up in the backfield. The kicker cannot move while he is about to kick. The only thing the kicker can do is jump or spin (for some mouselock users that may turn or fidget in the process of kicking). If at any point the kicker moves or runs, then the play results in a 10 yard penalty, and redo of downs. [FIELD GOAL BOUNDARY] Kickers can set up for the field goal kick where the ball is placed by referees (on the right hash line, in between the hashes, or left hash line). The kicker cannot stand on the 50 or beyond it for the kick. This will result in a 5 yard penalty, and redo of downs. The kicker may also not back up more then 10 yards from the line of scrimmage or else it results in a 5 yard penalty and redo of downs. This creates a challenge for all field goals and also applies to PATS or extra points. [CENTER SNAPBACKS] Center snapbacks; which is an immediate pass to the center right after the Quarterback receives the ball from the Center is not allowed. Doing this will result in a 5 yard penalty and replay of down. [DROPPING BALL AFTER CATCH/INTERCEPTION/FUMBLE] If the ball is backspaced onto the field (inbounds) immediately or sometime after the catch or interception. Then it becomes a fumble until picked up. If it is dropped out of bounds on the sidelines after an inbound completion or catch then the ball is downed there (unless you wouldn't have landed inbounds in the first place). It is not incomplete if you drop the ball after a completion. [ONSIDES] Onsides will not be allowed. Attempting onside kicks will result in a re-kick. [FAKES] Fake field goals, fake plays, and any deception plays are allowed. Going for a fake field goal on extra point will result in an earned two points. [EXTRA POINTS] Teams may choose to do either a 1 Point Field Goal Kick or a 2 Point Conversion: - 2 Point Conversions are run at the 20 yard line. - Field Goals are kicked for 1 point at the 20 yard line. Field Goal fakes are allowed to gain 2 points. You cannot move when you are attempting a PAT or else the field goal will convert to a 2 point conversion and the kicker will be forced to run, throw, or handoff the ball. In order for a field goal to count, the ball MUST be kicked in between the goal post to where the "h" message appears declaring it a good kick. [FIELD SET-UP] There must not be more than 7 players on the field for each team, if the number of players during a play (not before or after) exceeds 7 then it is a penalty of 5 yards. Games can be played with 5-7 players on one side, any lower than 5 will not be allowed, and the game will be halted until 5 can be formed. If not, then the game is an auto-forfeit for the team who does not have 5 or more players. [STARTING A PLAY] The ball cannot be hiked until the referees have blown the whistle directly after the set-up of the LOS/FD markers. There must be a center to snap the ball to the Quarterback on his mark. Centers are allowed to go for passes, and must snap the ball to someone between the hashes. "X" or handoff snaps by the center are not allowed. Doing so, will result in immediate redo. [SACKS] If the tackle animation is triggered upon the QB at any given time when he is carrying the ball, it is a sack. Even if the QB already throws the ball but falls over from being hit, it will count as a sack. If a player "lag-sacks" then the play will result in a redo. Only three redos of lagsacks are allowed per player. After that the player will be forbade from rushing. [KICKOFF/KICKOFF RETURN] On kickoff, the kicking team must kick the ball to the opposing team behind the 20 yard line. The kick off return team has no boundaries except they cannot exceed the 50 yard line. If the ball is kicked directly out of bounds then it will be an illegal kick putting the receiving team on the 40. If it hits the touchdown and goes out of bounds it will be counted as a touchback for the opposing team at the 20 yard line. The kicker must kick between the hashes during kickoff. Fair catches may be called out by the returner if he wishes to be "downed" where he grabs the ball. [TIME-OUTS] Each team is given 3 time-outs to call during each half. If a coach challenges a play then a timeout is at stake. If the challenge is accepted then the team keeps a timeout. If not accepted and declined, then the team loses a timeout. [EJECTIONS] The head referee of the game assigned by the Commissioner is allowed to eject a player IF the player is disrupting the game or being HIGHLY immature. If a ref is caught on video abusing these privileges because of "bias" then the referees job will be terminated. After telling the player they are ejected, proceed to ban the player from the server. Refs must ask the Commissioner before ejecting a head coach of a team. If the Commissioner is not on, then do NOT eject the head coach, and continue to play the game unless it's absolutely necessary. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ {[ PLAYER CONTRACT ]} By reading this Rulebook and joining the National Collegiate Football League, you hereby agree to all of the contents of the NCFL Rulebook and agree to follow them or else you'll be subject to consequences. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ Disclaimer: All of the above is subject to change! - Commissioner TheSliceOfLife
