"hahahaha the majority religion in europe is oppressed? " First, Ireland is far away from Europe so Engkand could easily bully us without them helping. "What you call oppression cannot hold a candle to what blacks or any other group go through or have gone through, so stop whining about this 'oppression' that has no grounds in law." Bro, stop defending your country by saying "Oh we didn't oppress you that much" You really did, especially when Oliver Cromwell was around, he didn't stick to the noble "spare the women and children" rule. "cannot hold a candle to what blacks or any other group go through" England oppressed the Africans alot.

"please state a law that 'oppressed' catholics" Oh boy where do I start So after england invaded Ireland and introduced their own religion and political system they told the irish they couldn't vote, couldn't own land, couldn't serve in the military, couldn't get govornment positions and these were actually laws that went on into the early 20th century and when we suffered the potato famine English landlords made it worse by kicking Irish people out because they couldn't pay their rent (Of course they couldn't, they were completely starved!) and they sold all of Irelands crops except potatoes back to england, adding to the deaths.

Rotten Tomatoes isn't a good place to get reviews. It's full of reviews from ignorant people. Watch it and see for yourself. Or alternatively read the book.

Notice how it says "88% of the audience liked it." You were basing it off of the stupid critics.
