Nearly the exact same thing happened to me in high school when we got some exchange students from Finland. I think they were actually more surprised to find out that there was a Finnish-speaking student in the school they were visiting.

Actually, you bring it up quite often. Just because you don't pull the race card when you argue doesn't mean you have to go out and make complete threads about races. I mean, I know people go out of their way to call something racist, it this wasn't really meant to be a racist post, but I really don't think we needed to know this at all.
