Help With Good Map!!

I am currently working on The Long Dark. I have all scripting building and items taken care of. but i just CANT figure out how others have that nice map like Isolation or Armored Patrol etc the floors are like triangles. i don't know if there is a block that can be manipulated or something but i need help please!
