"We are listening (So please keep talking...)" Yet most ideas with most supports never get implemented into the website/roblox player, and no admin responds to our (possibly good or bad) ideas. I demand attention! |

They are.

But where is the proof?! |

There should be an icon that is shown next to the title of the post, showing whether or not an Admin has read the thread or not; Often it really can feel like the Admins aren't listening. |

Just because they don't respond to your forums doesn't mean they don't look.

Yeah. That sounds good. It could be like skype. But instead of seeing once you have read a message, you will see when an admin has read a threat post. |

@iron Meh. To be honest, they really dont take many of the great ideas that the community has to offer and does offer them, even though they say that the community matters a lot to how ROBLOX looks and feels. |

@Opposed
Like I said, they look at everything, but not everything is added.
Just because an idea is good from one standpoint doesn't mean it's good all-around.
You need to take that into consideration.

They read the ideas that are suggested here.
There are like 10 people per team or something like so, so not everything can be effective enough to consider or implement.
Players may want something, but the something they want may not benefit ROBLOX in the slightest.
They do read them, they just don't post often.
Also, a fairy doesn't come along and appear in the ROBLOX HQ, dance on the keyboard and features get implemented, it takes time and lots and lots of effort. |

10 pages of support on a feature isn't much to get it created. For one, that's not even close to 1% of the ROBLOX playerbase. Additionally, the idea needs to be debated among the admins in a meeting, in which they decided how the feature can be implemented and how they can make it work (because a lot of ideas here do have flaws). Then, it needs to be demo'd. To demo the feature can take quite a bit of work, and that's just a rough example. If the demo was successful, they'll consider it for a future update.
It would be physically impossible for ROBLOX to add every well supported idea on S&I. There are just too many. |

Being able to change your in game name color looks pretty good from all sides, and its been recommended countless times, and would take like 1 day for the ROBLOX Games/website team to make, and would make the community quite happy. I don't see how that could be bad. |

Thus, the classic paper and pencil comes into play! |
|

It's because you CAN change your name color.
Changing your name changes your name color as it's based on the number of characters.

Want to know why?
Because it's a stupid and pointless idea. |

JonibusJoin Date: 2010-01-30 Post Count: 8985 |
It would take quite a bit longer than a day to add that. That would be a client feature, and anything dealing with the client needs to be tested and debugged thoroughly, because client updates are the root of all exploits. And even at the rate they test/debug now, it's not enough because exploits still occur.

never knew that, Joni.
well, stop ranting. you clearly don't know how to create and manage a game like roblox. you don't even know what you are talking about. i don't complain all day and night, because i don't even know the first thing about the creation and management of roblox.
so, let this thread die. |

@Buck It was just an example, and a lot of the community that checks the forums have talked about the idea, and it has gotten a good amount of supports.
Also, if your saying that ROBLOX is being greedy by charging us pretty much 10 USD just to change our username just for the color, then dang, you must really like your name color.
I mean seriously, boys get a color like red when they wanted blue or green, and girls get something like orange when they wanted pink, or red. |

Then script your own chat GUI
It's quite easy.

Here are evidence Moderators DO listen.
1. Mods occasionally give a reply to a thread.
2. Threads becoming [ Content Deleted ].
3. Threads getting deleted. |

This is a thread to see if admins come here for ideas to make roblox more community-driven, not another "Changeable ROBLOX Name color" Suggestion. |

@frie
1) Mods RARELY post on S&I threads.
2) Only cause the post was on the WNTS list and was made at the perfectly wrong time.
3) Same as number 2. |

I spend some time around S&I every day. There's plenty of reading and discussion surrounding the suggestions from the community. As some players have pointed out, whether or not an idea gets implemented is wholly independent of whether it is supported a lot.
As far as responses, I can speak personally on that one. Most of the time, when I respond to a thread, it's to ask for clarification of some point. A lot of posts are very clear and concise, though, so there's nothing I can really add to them. |

"1. Mods occasionally give a reply to a thread."
Key word, "occasionally".
And, when they do, they're usually just to say, "Never going to happen", or "We might possibly probably not think about it, but it's a good idea anyway".
"2. Threads becoming [ Content Deleted ]."
That happens when multiple people report a thread.
Sometimes it deletes it because of noticing a link in the thread in the first place, indicating the probable reason for reporting.
"3. Threads getting deleted."
Isn't that what you just said in the second reason?
