VORTEX SECURITY - DEPARTMENT OF TRAINING MEMO (1/15/2015)
IMPORTANT ~ ALL TRAINERS SHOUT NOTE THIS INFORMATION
Hello VS Trainers,
The following thread will outline and clarify the current training reform, as well as add a few new exceptions.
-----
ITEM 1 ~ Training Eligibility
In order for a training to receive credit from the department, it must now meet all of the below requirements.
1) If a NRML training, it must last for a minimum of 20 minutes. If ADV, the minimum time is 40 minutes.
2) The training must last no longer than 75 minutes
3) The training must be hosted at an official place (see Item 3)
4) The training must be categorized as one of the following;
[TRAIN_NRML] - Normal Training
[TRAIN_ADV] - Advanced Training
[TRAIN_JT] - Joint Training*
*Note ~ Joint trainings may only be hosted by Ally Relations Liaisons, or with the approval of the Executive Director of External Affairs
5) The training information must be posted to the VS:DoT wall BEFORE the deadline.
Trainings that do not meet all 5 requirements are not eligible for credit. However, with these requirements, there are exceptions.
1) Trainings that are ended early due to unforeseen events, such as legitimate defenses and ally assistance may be credited, as long as the event lasted for more than 20 minutes.
2) If a trainer can provide valid reasoning to a the training officer responsible for crediting events (greenagels41), or the Director of Training as to why their training was cut short, or extended longer than the time constraints, credit will be given.
IF YOU ARE CONFUSED ABOUT WHETHER YOUR EVENT IS ELIGIBLE, CONTACT A TRAINING OFFICER!
-----
ITEM 2 - Divisional Events
The following events are now eligible for credit as a NRML event.
- Stormtroopers Tryouts
- Stormtroopers Trainings and Events*
- Joint Trainings
*Events covered under this include ST Exclusive Tournaments and other ST events approved for crediting by a Training Officer
Members who can receive this credit MUST be ranked accordingly in their division to host such events.
Divisional Events MUST be reported on the DoT wall. Posts must include the date hosted and what kind of event it was (ie. Training, Tryout, Tournament, etc…)
ONCE AGAIN, IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT WHETHER YOUR EVENT IS ELIGIBLE, CONTACT A TRAINING OFFICER!
-----
ITEM 3 - Training Places
Training Places may be hosted on anyone’s profile, but must meet certain standards.
1) The training place must have at least 3 event types, or, if a FFA place, it must be clearly designated as a FFA.
2) The training place must have admin for all Colonels+
3) The training place should have a uniform script, but there are exceptions.
4) The training place must have VS weapons.
5) The training place must be of good development quality. (VS:Devs may be consulted on this)
6) The place must be hosted on a VS member’s profile.
Approval is not required for a place to be used, however, if a place is found to not meet standards, or not provide necessary elements, it will be blacklisted until fixed.
-----
ITEM 4 - Clarifications
- The minimum TOTAL amount of trainings (normal and advanced combined) is 2 per week, the minimum amount of advanced trainings is 1 per week. So either at least 2 advanced trainings or at least 1 advanced training and 1 normal training each week.
- Divisional events may only ever be NRML events.
- FFA trainings may only ever be NRML events. Note, this applies to trainings which are strictly FFA trainings.
