Have you ever wanted to make a comment about a game, be it, supportive, unsupportive, reporting a glitch, reporting a solution to a glitch, anything like that, but the character limit is so absurdly small? You only get to write in half of what you need to, and it simply goes so quickly. 200 characters is the limit. This is barely enough to write a paragraph explaining anything. This paragraph I'm writing now is to demonstrate how small 200 characters is. It goes away far quicker than you would think, and it gives very little opportunity to give useful feedback at all. It ne- See my point? I suggest that you raise it to perhaps 500. That's over double of the current limit, and would allow people to post useful comments regarding the place. However, you may think "But spammers will be worse than ever." This is why I think a "Comment rating" feature is necessary. It would allow useless comments to be marked down, and, once they reach a certain amount of dislikes, they are removed. Also, a similar feature, top comments, so comments with the most likes will be displayed there. Like a sub-section of the comments. Or, you can simply choose "Most recent" A feature similar to this is mentioned in this thread; http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=153933762 I think that the amount of dislikes required to be removed should be depending on how many visits the place has. It would make sense, a game with less players would have less people looking in the comments, so less people to mark spam down. However, places with more players would have more people to mark spam down. Although, as the amount of people increases, there will always be the select few who randomly mark comments down. This is why I think that the dislike requirement should be higher for places with more visits. For example, a simple equation like this; requirement = place visits/10000 + 10 So, for example. 1,000,000 place visits = 110 dislikes 100,000 place visits = 20 dislikes 100 place visits = 10 dislikes Does this seem reasonable? Let me know any improvements you would suggest, and if you don't support, please explain why, and, if possible, a possible suggestion to solve that. This feature is begging to be implemented. Thank you for your time. Sorry for the long read.

I don't even see the point in comments anymore. Most good place developers who look to make their game better and strive to improve have PMs turned on. Just inform them about the glitch/improvement you want and they'll try to make it happen. All the comments are now is just spam. sanity.exe has stopped working.

Why should comments be longer? It is meanth for short critism, not a full review or chat box. if you have something to say to the developer that is too long, just send a PM.

I think the purpose of comments now are to inform people who are interested in people's opinion of the game before they play it. Before I play a game I often look at the comments to see what people say about it. However, it's often filled with spam. If the like/dislike feature was implemented, that could help that problem. Also, if comment character limit was increased, then people would be able to get more useful opinions about the game.

This is a very well thought out post, I completely agree with this feature, and I think it should be implemented.

"All the comments are now is just spam." [2] As a game developer, I agree with this point. Plus, I don't have notifications or anything telling me that a comment was posted on any of my content, I usually just make a fan group for a specific game and get people to post in there. There is way to many different comment sections to keep track of, so basically: I don't support.

That would result in people who have a full group slot, and don't want to leave a group, have harder access to giving input. Perhaps the owner of the place should have a setting so comments which gain a certain positive rating, they are notified via messenger, and it shows the comment, the rating, the user, and the time.

No support. As someone has previously pointed out, the comment section is a place where you post something that's short and sharp. It is not a place for you to post a word wall review, or similar. Here's an example of a possible comment (200 characters): "Brilliant game that you should play if you're a fan of SciFi games. The gameplay is fluid and the mechanics contained within the game allow for a great experience. The building is also incredibly good" ---- Also @Killajake, if the group slot thing is an issue then the group's owner can allow non-members of the group to post on the group wall. But I also agree with what someone else said where they pointed out that if you have something lengthy to say then you should PM the place's owner.

That's a fair point put across, Data. However, by increasing the character limit, you still allow for quick comments, but also a larger possibility for detailed ones if a potential player wishes to go in the comments for a review. Groups are too awkward to look in reviews for, and a forum would not be the place for a review. If not this feature, what do you think of the like/dislike feature? I think that would be a useful thing to have in the comments section to actually make sure more useful comments are seen, rather than "Play my game for admin" or "Builderman told me how to blah blah blah"
