Hello peepos, alright so I've been tinkering around with BYM lately after a long time, and here's a couple things that I thought would be useful for every Mech Builder in the game .
Now let's begin with the most common,
" My Mech won't turn ! "
Indeed, this is quite the problem, this usually happens when you ride your mech before building the arms, your mech will either face one direction only, spin uncontrollably, or just spazz out of the map .
Solution 1 : Finish your whole mech first, the arms, the weapons, finish it all .
Still having problems after that ?
Final Solution : This is a definite fix for the glitch, but only do this once you have completed your mech, I have yet to try on uncompleted mechs, as today my own mech got the spin glitch, I did this and it solved the problem .
" HOW ? TELL MEH ! TELL MEH NOW ! "
Alright, it's pretty simple actually, all you gotta do, is replace one of the bricks on your BODY with a Seat, yes a seat, any kind of seats . This will totally stop your mech from glitching ? Hard to believe right ? Yeah I was totally skeptical about it too .
But thanks to Mileskennethisanoob, I fixed Secundo Mecha and now he works just fine .
Take Note : If the seat is bumped/destroyed, your mech automatically glitch, so make sure you either,
1 ) Make TOUGH defence to reach the seat , or
2 ) Make alot of seats ( Which I did for Secundo Mecha )

" I LOST MY SAVES COZ I LOST CONNECTION T_T "
To those of you that had this happened to you, I'm sorry there is NO WAY to get your save back, this happened to me yesterday when I came back and was building Secundo Mecha, was done all the way to the neck when suddenly I lost connection, rejoined another server and I had nothing .
Lost my motivation to build him back for a day, came back today and rebuild him with a much more safer way .
" What's that ? "
Everytime I finish a major part of the body, I would leave the server and rejoin a new one, yea it's tiring but it's the safest way and it's worth it, finished the legs, rejoin new server, finish body, rejoin new, finish arms, rejoin new, finish head, rejoin new, finish mech, ENJOY ! :3

: There is a saying that goes the higher you fly, the harder you fall, true, if you got your name on to the Best Of The Best, and you're satisfied, a month passed and you still have your BOTB Mech, don't be surprised if you find someone else who have surpassed you, and your name is on the ' Good ' Mech Maker Category . True, the higher you fly, the harder you fall, but if you flew high and u KEEP ON FLYING, you won't fall . My point is, don't stop remaking stronger mechs just because you're on the top, keep upgrading so that you'll always stay on the top . |

If you have read through the whole history with an unbiased mind, and you still think BYM is a copy of BYC, then let me write down a few points,
- Let's begin with Iphones . Alexander Graham Bell was the original inventor of telephones, you think Steve Jobs, the creator of Iphones, asked for his permission ? You think he paid Alex ? My point is, what Steve did was that he made an Upgraded version of the Telephone . Nobody called it a Copy, cause it had so much different features, besides the calling feature .
I played BYC before, I was a big fan of it, and after playing BYM, I really don't think it's a copy . If BYM is a copy of BYC, you would still see glitchers all around, noobs spamming all around, all kinds of trolling would still be around . But no, those things have been solved in BYM, and BYM, like the Iphone, have much more new features compared to BYC .
StaySpy, if you happen to be reading this, you were great, you got on the front page, but that's it, the moment you got on the front page, you stopped upgrading, I private messaged you this before didn't I, " If you continue ignoring our complaints, and you keep your game the way it is, you know at one point somebody else will be taking your place "

Nothing . That's right, you ignored all our complaints as usual .
Look mate, someone out there already made a game and upgraded it to the point where he DESERVES the front page . If you're saying his concept of upgrading your game is wrong, you're saying that the original concept of Roblox is wrong .
I'm just gonna end this with this,
" If we live life by your concept of [ NO COPYING / IMPROVING COPIES ], you won't see popular games like counter strike, half life, blackshot, modern warfare, battle field, why ? Cause they're all a copy of the original first person shooter concept . "

No, that's not a valid comparison. Graham bell made wired audio communication, not a cell phone. What he made was comparable to making a building game. You're not copying if you make another building game, but if you take the exact thing he made and make a few upgrades and sell it without permission THATS copying.

Okay, first most of the people who've played bym agree the community is worse. Sure, there aren't as many noobs but there are still trolls and overall jerks. I dare you to post in the group "Build a cybersuit." On an alt account "I only play BYC because someone said BYM is a copy." 9/10 chance you will be hated on and exiled, but in BYC fan group people give praises to bym and don't get kicked.
Second, a community is not a part of the game because you don't make the community. Imagine if toyota sued honda for copying the type of people that used their car That's stupid.

Stop attacking spy to rationalize copying a game. Just because he actually has a life and important school to do doesn't mean you get the right to make money off a copy of his stuff. He had to go to the hospital recently for cying out loud. Imagine if apple copied the android os because they stopped making new phones. As you can see, a lot of your rationalizations are really just delusions.

Your concept of upgrading is wrong. Upgrading someone elses stuff and making money off it is copying. Making your own stuff better or using a concep to make something is upgrading. Again, just because your mad he didn't reply to you (most game devs have hundreds of frs and pms a day) doesn't give you the right to take and make money off his stuff without permission. If sharky made an ORIGINAL building game without the SAME EXACT FEATURES it wouldn't be a copy.
As for your ending post, an FPS game is a concept not a game. Sharky mmade the same concept but you know what else is in byc that is also in BYM?
Garages
Spikes
Bumpers
Same user interface
Same parts (he added SPHERES :0 sarcasm)
Same tools
Same color baseplate
I don't know what made you so blind to the fact that they look almost exactly the same! Does the iphone look even even close to what graham bell made? NO! You're the biased one not me. |

The kind of point to this whole controversy is that sharky99 made game based on the concept. Correct? Yes.
He made the same concept AND theme, of building mechs> BUT if you look at starter kits; cars! UFO's! different KINDS of mechs! Correct? Yes.
Now did StaySpy copy other games, say Build your armor or Build and Race? Yes! He just used the concept or theme or mechs. It's basically the same thing!
Now look at this GOOD comparison: Do you see ALL those copies of murder games? Of speed run games? Build to survives? Town of robloxia's? ALL THOSE OTHERS?! Don't go around looking at ONE GUY when everyone else does it. It's what ROBLOX is about, we make games and they get inactive. Other people take upon them and improve them.
Now think on THIS point; Sharky announced he was going to make BYM2015 a LOOOOONG time ago. Now StaySpy is copying the idea of a new BYC with BYC Reborn. ALSO; For the record you can't be saying ANYTHING about StaySpy since he's not even the main Dev anymore.
Any other points I should bring up to the stupid comments about BYC/BYM. |

Roblox encourages remaking games.
You can't copyright anything made on roblox, roblox owns everything we make.
No matter how offended you are about it, it's legit to do what I did. Don't get me started on how much BYC needed a successor.

You know sharky, I'll be honest. What I posted above was before I read the history of bym. When I read that I realized that you didn't intentionally copy byc to make money but you just wanted to make a game where you could make mechs without losing all your hard work. I actually felt BAD that you got all that hate for it. I was going to apologize for hating on you. But then you call me a bigot and tell me to get out. GG sharky. Good job.

Bigot: a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc.
You have fit there snugly as long as I have known you. Am I wrong? You may think it is fair to hate developers for remaking games, but not everyone agrees with that view. You think I want you to get off ROBLOX? Only if you continue to act out with unfair hating to developers that remake games on ROBLOX. It's not like you can't continue, just don't expect that I will have much of any respect for you if you do.

You have to understand, byc was my favorite game. I was friends with a lot of people in the community. I was just playing byc and in the group w/ friends and all when all of a suddenly boom BYM came out and people were leaving byc for bym. I went to bym and saw that it looked extremely similar to byc. So, do you see why not knowing your side of the story made me think it was a copy for money? I'm not trolling, I'm being completely honest. |
