The whole ground began to shake, and it became really hot. A falling peice of debris fell ontop of Jon's head, knocking him out. |

I sat up and looked for a clear direction to go, but even if there was one, I couldn't carry Jon! |

Lucius kicked open a weak door, searching for his ring. He overheard talking in the next room. "The stupid ring won't work!" Someone moaned. "Agh, this kid isn't the one, just toss it." The door opens, Lucius ducks behind it, and his ring is tossed out. He has to stop from dancing in joy, and scrambles after the ring. |

Xenku heard some wierd guy screaming then He got in the head with a rock. This is when Xenku decided to help another. He tried to lift the person who fell, but he couldn't . He swore under his breath. His small runner frame couldn't pick the poor guy up. He looked at the funny ring. "I'm sorry..." Xenku said, running off. |

Lucius, trembling with the shaking now, changed into an ape, thrashing the two thugs and leaving them to die, ascending the dungeon into the streets, where chaos ensued. Lucius was very confused, and tripped, falling back into the dungeon. He shut the door tight, and morphed into the most resistant thing he could think of; A tortoise. He hid inside his shell, waiting for all to be over. |

I search around desperately for some kind of help in hope of being able to bring Jon to safety. |

Far behind Jon and Jillian, a subway was roaring down the tracks, then veered off the the side as the ground shook. Outside, a massive flame-wall was burning through NYC. |

I topple over as the ground shakes, giving up hope. My heart was beating so fast my fever wouldn't allow me to do anything but lay there, hopelessly. |

Jon blinked open his eyes, looking down the tunnel. He could see the light as the train screached across and tumbled along. |

I strain to sit up, every time failing. 'Of all times...' I thought and put a hand to my forehead. I had a headache so bad I could hardly see straight. |

I put a hand on the wall, dragging myself over to it so I could sit up, at least. |

"Now we die" Jon said, shutting his eyes. The train roared to them.
And the world turned white. |

I close my eyes gently and slide off the wall, hoping it would be a quick death. |

"Poof"
That's right, poof. They went poof, all of them. Every last one of them.
Well, only the ones with the powers went poof actually, everyone else died.
And so now Jon was lying in a large field, face down in the grass, Jillian next to him. |

I woke up. I was in a field, long grass surrounding me. I blinked, to make sure this wasn't a dream. |
