The Ability to Gift Items to Other Users

You know how on Steam, when you purchase a game, you have two options: Keep your copy, or gift it to a friend? How about this: Whenever you purchase one of these types of items, it prompts you with two options: "Keep Item" or "Give Item to a Friend." • Hats • Gear • Packages • Faces • Shirts • Pants • Access to a Paid Access Game • Gamepasses If you choose "Give Item to a Friend," you no longer own the item; However, if you choose "Keep Item," it proceeds with the normal item-buying-process and you get the item, but lose the ability to gift it to a friend. This could have some limits, such as: • You cannot gift Limited and Limited U items • You cannot gift items that say "0 Sold" under the Buy button, to prevent people from gifting items that have never been on sale before I think this could turn out quite nifty. I do have one last thing to address, though: "What if you try to gift a non-BC user a BC -only item, e.g. the BC skateboard?" I think you should be able to gift non-BCers BC only items. That's all. I hope you enjoyed my thoroughly detailed post about a suggestion that will probably never be added as an actual feature. But hey, you never know. Maybe this could happen some day.

@twentyfifteened I actually think that this is a GREAT idea! I really hope that they implement this, but maybe instead of when you buy it, you can gift something anytime you want. @whoever talked about people abusing it Umm... people can do that to most other things I think @the person who said that the brother knows their older brother's pass word ... I don't really know what to say, that seems unlikely. Anyways... SUPPORT!

I also think this is a great idea. It would help a lot of people and stop a lot of complaining, it would be great for presents people would want to give other people on actual holidays. @jj if you actually read the thread you would know that this feature will only appear when you purchase a item and will not appear for that item again.

This is a really cool idea, i think it could work. But knowing ROBLOX they would probably make it a BC-only feature...

Well, that's true. But I think that even they would think that's cheesy. Trading limiteds being BC-only? Understandable. Certain items being BC-only? That's a bit cheap, but that's understandable. Giving your buddies gifts out of pure kindness being BC-only? That's just cheesy.

The thing is, with suggestions, you have to treat them like code. Try and break the suggestion by finding loopholes and flaws and if too many are found, scrap the suggestion. In this case, PGing would run rampant, as users would PG many 08er's, 09er's, Devs and LMaDers so they can "gift" their hats to their main account. So you'd love this idea, until some 2015er comes along and takes every single one of your hats. No support. I made a new word! It's called plagiarism!

stupid whats the point of the roblox economy, this is essentially trading someone but they wouldnt have to give anything if it were a gift and this would be a handy tool for scammers to transfer without loosing anything too

People aren't reading this completely... Therefor there's no real way this could be abused unless the person already had access to your profile which could be harmful even without the gift feature. PGing old accounts wouldn't make sense because it's unlikely they would have robux, and any hats they already own can't be gifted so there is no way to transfer it over. And if an active account that actually has a lot of robux is PG'd it's because they don't have secure information, which is kind of unlikely because most Devs and LMaDers know better.
