The end of the winter has come. The sun was shining upon the capitol. It as been a month ago since the latest attempt of rebels to take over Nevona. An Overseer meeting was in progress regarding that latest assault. "We must strike back now when we're least expected" Memphis said. "Now the winter is finally over they will focus on supplying their men with ammo. They've wasted a lot at Nevona". "Waiting is not an option, sir" Jak said. "We do have the advantage, I agree with them, Peekay" High Council pkjojo confirmed. "Very well. Prepare the troops for combat. We will hunt down every last one of them." Peekay decided.
Our soldiers were rallying to obliterate our next target, New Sol Confederance. Intel suggested that their leader managed to flee home, despite the Nexians Scouts hunting him. The Imperial Fleet has also been prepared for this mission. "Listen up, soldiers. We'll be taking off in 2 minutes. Estimated flight time is 30 minutes. It will be 7 PM when we arrive. Recons will strike at sunset. Pkjojo will be in-charge of the Recon squad, assisted by Jak. Ground troops will be deployed when they receive the signal to. The Imperial Fleet will be used as backup in case things go wrong." Memphis explained. "Alright, guys, let's go."
We arrived at the estimated time. Our Recons were preparing to deploy. "You got this, Jojo?" Council 2nd asked, pkjojo's old apprentice. "Wait and see", pkjojo replied. "You know this operation must go unnoticed, jojo?" Hellgate reminded him. "Yes. They won't know anything until it's too late. Take out the guards, sabotage communications and give the signal, I got this."
Pkjojo and his Recons deployed just outside of the capitol. They advanced through the night towards the huge walls that were meant to protect the city. "I got 5 hostiles on my vision at their gate." Clumsy whispered. "Very well, let's pop like cola". As silent as the night itself they prospered to the gate. They took out 3 guards at the entrance. The other 2 were on the gate, looking around for any signs of hostility. "Man I got to take a pee", one of the guards said. "Hurry up, mate. I'm scared alone" the other guard replied.
After 30 minutes the guard finally found the courage to seek for his friend, which didn't return yet from his quick break. "What's taking so long?" the guard asked himself. He decided to go look for his friend. The guard descended the stairs, but didn't make it downstairs alive.
"Just like Batman and Robin, isn't it Jojo?" Jak asked. "I'm pretty sure Batman doesn't has a gun. Let's focus on the mission." Pkjojo replied. "Let's move on to their communications centre". After avoiding NSC patrols the Recons reached their destination. "Pinkball, deploy the explosives". Scout Pinkball was a young member of NRC and he was eager to prove himself. "Yes, sir" he replied before placing the explosives. "Timer on 15 minutes, bomb armed".
Pkjojo contacted the Imperial Fleet's Flagship with the notification the mission was succesful. "Yes, their communications are disabled. We're ready for extraction." Pkjojo said. "Great job. The extraction point is uploaded to your vision. It is marked with a skull" Executor Cereals replied.
It was a long walk, but they made it to the extraction point. As promised, it was marked with a skull. Apparently Cereals preferred indicating it with a brave NSC soldier, or what was left of him. A Razor touched down to pick up the Recons. "All aboard, Recons, we're going home" Pkjojo ordered. All Recons entered the Razor. All but one. "Where is Clumsy?" Pkjojo asked. No one has seen him since the bomb went off.
"Speak up, dirty slave!". It was HailReagan, the sadistic leader of NSC, who punched Clumsy. Clumsy didn't respond. "Answer me! Who ordered you to disrupt our operations, you scum?!". He punched Clumsy again, who did respond this time: "I'd rather die than telling you, fool". "We could take care of that, but let's be honest, your information is too valuable, thus it would be a shame if we'd let you die.", HailReagan responded with an evil accent in his voice. "Your friends will probably come to save you. We'll be patient to get our revenge".
"We must save him, sir. I'm not going to let him die in such a horrible way!" Pkjojo yelled in the meeting room. "We can't risk our whole fleet for 1 person", Peekay responded. "Then I'll go and save him myself!" Pkjojo yelled quitte angrily. He knew Peekay was right but he couldn't live with the thought a soldier died on his watch. "I'll go with him" Hellgate said out of the blue. "And so will I", Pinkball said. "Fine. This is at your own risk. You get an hour till we deploy our ground troops. Don't be late." Peekay warned them.
Pkjojo, Hellgate and Pinkball deployed on the battlefield. They managed to sneak up to their command centre, where Clumsy was kept prisoned according to our vision. "Hellgate take the vents, Pink take the guards out. I'll take care of their leader. On my signal." Pkjojo ordered and thus they did. Jojo did a special gesture only known by Nexians to give the signal.
It was unexpected. All of the sudden their guards were dying. Chaos and panic were the only things that were still left. "Enemy fire from the corridor!" a guard yelled, whilst another claimed there was enemy fire from the vents. HailReagan was in panic, he didn't even move, too frightened of what would follow. Pkjojo's grenade did move his limbs a bit more, the blast divided the sadistic leader in a couple off pieces. "You're a bit late", Clumsy said from his jail. "What took you so long?".
The following hours were the most intense hours. Our ground crew successfully demolished their whole capitol. Their confused soldiers were not much of a resistance. "Good job, NRC", Peekay said enthusiastically. "We're going home".
