4/15 @ Westboro
Lung jump: 15'8 1/2" First time I've ever done it and we've only practiced it once cause coach is stupid
100m: 12.5 First time we've ever started with blocks/a gun shot so it messed with everyone on the team. I got off to the worst start but managed to place a respectable time
200m: 25.0 Pretty damn good especially seeing as it was the first time I ever did a 200
Mind you our team has 40 kids that are 65% sophomores and are D2. We went against a D1 team with 40 seniors alone |

Nice Job man! We are a small school too, smallest division we have in our state. We have about 13 kids total on our team. |
|
|
Thanks. I'm a little pissed that coach never had us start off blocks before. Even on the 200 I started pretty darn good, but the 100 (Which came first) really tripped all of our team up. We could've done so much better if we had a little practice with that. |
|
|
Yeah, it really doesn't make sense not to work with blocks. At least a little bit! If you want some advice for blocks, you can message me if you want. Or if you want long jump advice, I can give that too. |

yep that coach seems lame lol |

4/28 Vs. Groton-Dunstable & North Middles3x
Long jump: 16'4"- About a 6 inch improvement from my last meet, so that's positive. I'm still real green at the long jump. I got a foul on my first bid.
100m- 12.3- 0.2 second improvement from the first meet. Still need practice firing off the blocks. I've yet to maximize my stride potential, but I thought it was a good performance, especially for a sophomore.
200m- 24.4- After missing practically a week of practice with a pulled quad, I was really happy with this result. It's a 0.5 improvement from the 1st meet and I believe I've qualified for the state qualifying meet. |

So you ran a faster 100 during your 200 |
|
|
Cool
i've got to concentrate concentrate concentrate... |
|
|
I actually got a 16'5" long jump, not a 16'4"
I placed 3rd in 200 against NM.
Yes, my 100 segment of the 200 is faster than my actual 100...
We've lost all 3 meets so far |

4/30 @ Marlborough & Nashoba
Long jump (Placed, idk where): 16'4". Though it's one inch down from last meet, I really showed my potential. I've hardly practiced this, and I can tell it's something I could really get good at. Also, it was a terrible and shallow pit.
100m (Placed, idk where): 12.4 or 12.5: A tad slower than last time, probably because this is the 2nd meet in 3 days. The starting blocks were awful, but I felt real good sprinting.
200m (T2nd vs. Nashoba, T1st vs. Marlborogh): 24.7 Again, down from Tuesday, likely due to lack of rest and poor track. I stumbled a bit around the corner but still managed to get a 1st place finish. This is my strongest event. |

4/15 @ Westboro LOSS (0-1)
4/28 Vs. Groton-Dunstable LOSS (0-2) & North Middles3x LOSS (0-3)

wonder if you'll meet with taconic |

|
5/5 Vs. North Central Charters Essential School- WIN (2-4)
Long jump- 16'5" (3rd): Well, I placed. Gotta work on jumping higher as well as my form in the air.
4X100- 48.0 (1st): WE ARE LITERALLY A TEAM OF 4 SOPHOMORES WHO HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE AND WE GOT 1.8 OFF THE SCHOOL RECORD. THIS IS ALSO OUR 4TH MAKESHIFT LINEUP IN 4 MEETS. I likely got a sub-12.0 on the anchor.
200- 24.0 (2nd): 0.1 of off the 1st place time. I'm really learning how valuable hugging the line on the corner is, as well as a nice stretch at the end, but I'm still not even close to maximizing my potential in those techniques. I'm also learning that this race has a huge mental aspect to it. |
