This is a message to the developers of ROBLOX Studio. I would say since at least 2013, the studio has always crashed at times. Especially in the past year. My studio crashes at least once per day for no reason at all. It's happened when I double clicked on a script, and it's happened when I didn't touch anything. But it's pretty ridiculous how often it happens. And it happens to everyone. Please if you could look into what causes this that would be great. All this does is make me paranoid about saving every minute.

I'm sure it is, it's fine for me. But at least once a day using it it will crash for no reason. If you used it as much as me you'd see this.

ROBLOX Corporation is constantly fixing major bugs as they arise. Fixing the problem with crashing is to save often. If crashing is a major problem for you, save before and after you do anything. Inserting a part? Save, insert, save. Opening a script? Save, open, save. Editing a script? Save, work on a small chunk of it, save.

Yeah I've learned to do that, but when you're working with massive games each save takes 2-4 minutes. And that just wastes my time. They should've fixed this years ago.

How exactly can they find what the problem is, when only a small part of Studio-users experience crashing. Other than the odd CSG Union Makers. Christ, Unions are hard to deal with.

Crashes are only for a small amount of people. The only time I'v had studio crash was when I accidentally made a script without a wait in it's infinite loop.

You guys don`t use the studio enough. Game developers like myself who are in studio all the time experience this quit a lot. It's been an issue since probably earliest 2012. Don't tell me they can't fix it, because this is a ROBLOX Studio issue. I've had it crash when I hadn't even touched the workspace, not had a single brick or script in the game. Sometimes I'll forget to save, really into my work. Don't save for 20 minutes, and end up loosing all my work. Makes me want to throw my computer out the window. And I don't even have a window...

You'll have to get used having your fingers near control+s . Thats how I managed to live through the stupid ammount of crashes back in 2013. What you stated is true , i've had a frustrating ammount of crashes back then but in all honesty they rarely occur anymore and I use the studio for a good ammount of 7 hours straight sometimes or more.

This is ridiculous, 3 times in one day it has crashed. I've reinstalled the studio if you're wondering. It's not my computer.

Post your graphics card, and driver versions. It depends on your system, if you post the information on your computer, like what parts, and drivers they can narrow down the issue.

If you have an AMD card it should be called Catalyst control center, try opening that and find a version.

''You guys don`t use the studio enough. Game developers like myself who are in studio all the time experience this quit a lot. It's been an issue since probably earliest 2012.'' How do you know they don't use the studio enough? Stop acting like a hotshot game developer.

"How do you know they don't use the studio enough?" Agreed with your point, but it's something to do with his drivers or hardware. I've worked on a game 12 hours straight, not a single issue. Sometimes I even forget to turn my computer off, and close studio, and it never crashes

I'm not trying to act like a hotshot it's ROBLOX. Jesus... -_- I'm just assuming. And I leave my computer on 24/7 with studio on all night every night. Anyways, I've opened the control panel and I assumed it would be in system settings. But I clicked and I can't seem to find it.

Try going on Search and look up for AMD Catalyst Control Center. There should be a tab for : Information Somewhere there you'll be able to find Software Update Try "Check for Updates Now" If either that doesnt work or you cant find any steps of mine Google your own graphics card on google and add the word drivers next to it. The rest should be self explanatory from that point. Theres no other explanation other than that. I doubt its an antivirus/firewall problem. If this doesnt fix your issues then its something else preventing Roblox to work properly (assuming you have tried to re-installed as you said you did). Message me on Roblox incase you need any more help because I might miss looking up this post again.

You are probably crashing because you have an infinate loop e,g while true do dostuff() end You should do while true do dostuff() wait() end This should stop the crashing when you run the game

If you're working with such large games that ROBLOX Studio can't handle it, then maybe you should get a better computer. From my experience, Studio performs better and can handle more objects easier with a better computer. If it takes an entire minute to save a game though, your game sounds too large to me.

You shouldn't be leaving ROBLOX studio open 24/7. If you're not using it you should close it. The same stands true for any program on your PC, bar a few. I'd also like to point out that ROBLOX has specifically quoted that the "mean time before failure" (aka a crash) is 74 hours; 3 days.

DataStore I would believe that, but I've reopened the thing. Had it open for less than 2 hours and had it crash. It's not that I leave it open. But I'll figure out this driver situation.

Once you look up the drivers deal let me know how it went. If in any case things don't work your way , you'll have to get used to having constantly as I said before your fingers above cntrl+s .
