This is the tutorial on how to play UC.
First off, if you're looking for how to use the keys to interact, you should read this post:
http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=156661246
Despite the post above, people still might not know how to make units afterwards. Since this is the most common issue, I'm gonna tell you now: You can create units by selecting the target building and pressing F.
I'm gonna start by describing a section of the HUD.
I'll be skipping most of the buttons shown in the bottom left menu, since their actions can be done with keys, which is shown in the post above.
How to Ally:
If your team isn't allied, you can become allied by simply clicking the color of the team you wish to be allied with (NOT on the playerlist). There will be a list of 6 team color buttons next to the square gray button. Once you click one, the player on the other team will be prompted to either accept your ally request, or decline it. If they accept, the color of the square gray button will become their color, and the color of theirs will become yours. You'll be able to talk to your ally through ally chat after this.
If your team is allied, and you wish to betray your ally for whatever reason, you can do so by simply clicking the square button next to the chat frame, and clicking "Yes" when it prompts you.
Control Menu:
There are 3 parts of this menu: building shop, unit control, and interaction.
The building shop is nothing but a shop for buildings.
The unit control is where the units you're controlling will show up. From here, you can deselect units that you may not want to control at the time being.
The interaction is simple. There's a button directly below the name of the first selected unit which shows how much you could sell it for. If the unit has any special actions (such as garrisoning), another button will appear on the side of the sell button.
How to play:
Since this game was inspired by HatHelper's "The Conquerors", the gameplay overall won't be too different. At the beginning of every round, you can place oil pumps at oil spots around you. When the round advances and you get more money, you can place oil rigs at oil spots that are on water (if there are any on the current map). Oil Pumps give 10 cash p/m, and Oil Rigs give 14 cash p/m. Every unit/building has a description, along with its statistics, in the game. You can view them by selecting the unit/building, and pressing Y. The endings of rounds are the same as in The Conquerors. If you win, your team's name will be displayed on everyone's screen, along with your ally's team name (if you have an ally). If the rounds ends and no one wins, a new one will be started.
Protection game mode:
In this game mode, you will start with a HQ, and a General. The reason you start with a HQ is because if your general dies, your team will be eliminated. You can garrison your general, but if the unit/building currently carrying it dies, your team will be eliminated.
Classic game mode:
In this game mode, you start with a Command Center, and 3 Light Soldiers.
That pretty much wraps up the tutorial for this game. If you think there's anything I missed, just post below. |
