Any other opinions? I would appreciate a ROBLOX admins opinion on the idea.

Well, a lot of this makes sense, but it doesn't really accomodate for the countless number of extra bricks that will be added in a building game. Example genres: Build to Survive; Live Build and Fight; Build your own XXXXXXXX; These genres incorporate another few thousand bricks into the game, and if it would truly be that there are 50 players or more per server, the amount of lag would immensely increase. I'll draw a connection to an old game. Have you ever heard of Battlefield 2? Many people, including me, thought that 64 player maps would be a great idea and would add tons of fun to the game. But it was quickly realized that 64 was alot of lag, regardless of the fact that the intricate maps were saved on the computer. I still agree that this would be an improvement on ROBLOX's current lag issues. Having at least 20 players on a server would be really fun. Now, let's sit back and watch it happen.

Sorry to double post, but I just realized that by saving ROBLOX onto your computer, this would open ROBLOX's SOURCE CODE TO ANYBODY WHO WANTS IT. Exactly. I've played games before where people clamor for a downloadable version, but it can't happen; without constant patents for ROBLOX, which would certainly hinder the rate of updates and catalog additions, a hacker could take ROBLOX's source code, edit it a bit, and post it as his own. I don't envision any way to overcome this problem without significant time and money from ROBLOX.

TD, it wouldn't make ROBLOX any more suceptible to having it's source code stolen, than it is now. And thats a FACT.

I don't even know what ROBLOX is trying to do to fix lag anymore. I doubt that unless they try something radical, lag will stay like this for the remainder of ROBLOXes existence.
