Did you guys even bother playing with this for more than a few minutes? Crash after crash after FREAKING CRASH! You call this an answer to people who want to download meshes? THIS IS EMBARISING!!!!! D:< You claim a triangle limit, (yeah, good luck getting even close to it) Can't weld this, can't do that, Sorry! an unexpected error occurred because our team can't do basic addition! AND THERES NO REASON FOR IT!!!!! Something that I've welded together probably 20 times without accident could all of a sudden not work, or worse, cause a crash!!!!! And ones that don't work, all I do is weld them to something else and like FREAKING MAGIC, WORKS! I've only even been so lucky as to hit the triangle limit ONE TIME. ONE LOUSY TIME. How can you expect us to create better looking games when the one tool we have available to us to make our games look extraordinary is fundamentally broken!!! With all that said, I have to give props to asimo3089 for actually powering through THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE. THE UNION TOOL IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE!!!!! It is an absolute SLAP TO THE FACE and AN INSULT to be expected to work with this.

Please make your own where there is 0 lag and can bond any part or mesh to eachother.

All of these are not the fault of the Roblox development team, but your lack of understanding.

I've never had any of these issues, and if I have (and forgotten about it) they were infrequent. You're not going to get anywhere going all blitzo on S&I with the exaggerations. In terms of fixing the issue, ROBLOX have already asked for you to send them repros of a union causing issues (such as, something not unioning that should, unexpected result, etc). "Oh, but how ma I meant to have the union" -> Save. You should be saving regularly on any program, not just ROBLOX.

I don't usually have issues with unions, the odd issue where it says its unsolvable when I remove the union. local siggy = Instance.new("siggy"):Destroy() -- Twitter @umaybleed

"unsolvable" Then union separately.

Well I have noticed that for some odd reason the positioning matters. You need to have all the Bricks on the same "grid". If the scale is to small it wont work.

and @datastore. This is NOT an exaggeration. I went through a 3 hour slug fest with this tool trying to get it to work for me. Maybe next time I should record it so you can all see.

it's your laggy PC. I recommend getting a better one.

I've never had any issues. Maybe once or twice possibly the FPS dropped from 60 to 55 when doing a large union, I have no clue, but nothing you described. I do experience some issues where unions don't render right, but overall NO PROBLEMS. It's your weak computer.

"Maybe next time I should record it so you can all see." It sounds like your computer is slow, and recording would make it slower.

My computers speed is irrelevant. Unions run off the roblox server. you can test this by saving a place to your computer and running studio offline. If anything, its an internet connection problem which is also doubtful since I'm running the net gear night hawk (one of the most powerful routers on the market) and have run hard wired tests where I'm getting 60 mbps on the download end. I also just had several run ins back to back where specific welds that previously worked do not work, and shapes weld together in ways they should not weld together. Pieces phasing out of existence when welded together and then suddenly being unable to be separated back to their original state. I have very good examples I can record with no problem right now.

Embarrassing*. However, you use full stops (Periods), so you can get away with it.

OP is raging over not using the strength of unions. OP is adding parts together. This is buggy-ish. OP needs to use negative parts to erase an outline around a part. OP needs to have a desktop with clean hdd (no exiting pictures, no wow, no lol, no game of war, no clash of clans, no world of wartune, et cetera), and OP needs to learn to stop raging. The tool is legit fine. I have used it MANY TIMES. On a laptop (granted mac = supreme, but that's beside the point). When I stack negations, there are RARELY failed unions. RARELY. I speak from experience. Oh, and one other thing: To see what it can do, search for CredibleKillerJoker and go to her tank showcase. That's all CSG'd. Try telling me that the tool sux if it can do *that*.

I've uploaded pictures to prove there is something wrong with solid modeling. We just have to wait for it to be approved so you can see.

Heres the evidence for those of you that thinks solid modeling is fine. The link to the picture below is before I try welding the grey union to the red union on the left. http://www.roblox.com/Before-1-item?id=229941279 This picture below is the after recolored red so you can see the problem http://www.roblox.com/After-1-and-cant-seperate-item?id=229941301 On top of that, you can't separate them. However, if you separate the grey union into separate parts then union it all as one to the red union on the left, you get this below. http://www.roblox.com/After-1-part-2-item?id=229941323 Oh, and heres a nice little slap in the face below, want to invert a union? sure, want to change it back? NOPE!!!! http://www.roblox.com/Turning-something-back-to-its-original-state-and-item?id=229941378 SO #DON'T YOU DARE# try to tell me that theres nothing wrong with Unions.

"Unions run off the roblox server. you can test this by saving a place to your computer and running studio offline. " You clearly don't understand how graphics are done. Even if the calculations are done cross server, your GPU will still have to display the product of CSG in studio, which will require those calculations being done client side and moved into the GPU.

Op, your problem is not with unions. Your problem is with doing it wrong. You're building in a traditional sense. Your second problem is vista (crapware). Get a real operating system on there.
