So, since SurfaceLights was added, why not they add this? For example, on the top of a block it's yellow, then on the left side it's red, then on right side it's blue, then on the bottom of it, it's green.

You can accomplish this through solid modelling by creating a new part, with you existing one, colouring this new part, and lining it up against the side of the block you want to colour. Make the new part invisible and then union the parts. This method is unreliable for obvious though.
