Personally, I don't watch much football. But, I know that more than 50% of america does. Many people enjoy it, and it's sort of a national coming-togetherness that people can enjoy for entertainment, and usually only small injuries happen on the field. And I'm willing to say that those players are willing to be injured just for the passion of football(I know weird right) |

To avoid faking too many injuries and rolling on the field crying, any form of American football should be banned. In my opinion, you're more likely to get hurt by playing football than any other sport.

Pretty much any contact sport has a risk.
In basketball, you could end up falling or twisting your ankle, or if they're trying to get the ball after it goes the hoop, it could hit their head.
In soccer, you could accidentally trip a person and they could hurt themselves, or they could trip over the ball!
In baseball, the ball could end up hitting you in the face.

I say no.
It used to be that football was a LOT more dangerous. Take a look at the New York Giants, for example: before many of the rules that are in place today were added, they would attack the key players on the other team.
Nowadays, there are so many rules on the contact part of the sport that it's almost impossible to get a major injury without having done something stupid or having pushed themselves beyond their limit.
Now, the funding issue, that's different, but that's for another debate. |
