[Story]
The year is 2027. The world is ashes of its former self, now a irradiated, burnt corpse. [Map- http://www.psr.org/chapters/iowa/assets/images/fallout-map.jpg]
The World started going into World War III following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2017. This angered many of the Worlds leading powers and the Ukraine War started as tensions raised. China and parts of Germany sided with Russia, fearing that they would be the first to be invaded and then captured.
This formed the U.R.A, United Russian Alliance. The U.N beat back the U.R.A and the war ended in 2024. Two years of peace followed the war. Russia, still angered by the wars loss was slowly plotting their revenge.
They activated their plan in 2026 and pushed for total world domination. They pushed out of Russia on all sides, startling the World by their actions. They captured the Countries on the outskirts of Russia first then moved farther outwards, killing over 3,000,000 innocent people and soldiers. It was the dawn of World War III.
The U.S sent half of its military to push back the U.R.A, but failed. The growing U.R.A pushed back the U.S and killed over 1,000,000 U.S troops.
Two months later Russia invaded Alaska and worked their way down to the West Coast. THe U.S in response to the attack, used its whole fleet of military to push back the U.R.A out of the U.S and succeeded. Then the U.S broke the vow to not use nuclear arms and shot its nuclear battalion onto Russia and the allied parts of Germany, killing Millions.
THe U.S knew the war was not over and braced for the worse, evacuating lucky citizens into vaults and ordinary people into subway tunnels.
Two days later June, 4th a battalion of nuclear missiles darkened the major U.S cites skies. More than 80% of the U.S populace saw a bright nuclear light then darkness that fateful day. The Ashes of War is all that remains.

(IKR, k3rl? My caravan is currently staying in Tacoma, and I get to see the Pompeii exhibit later this week. Personally, I prefer when we get to camp in Tacoma for the winters since I get to meet friendy locals, and go to the Bonnie Lake Renaissance Faire and have fun in August.)
