It is not a decision to believe something or not. Just like if someone tells you something and you want to believe it is true but you just cannot.

He gives everyone a test in some way, to see if they are true believers.
If they're not they got to hell.

no its not my decision
believe me when i say that i want to believe in god as described in the bible, it would make my life so much easier, a book would do much of the thinking for me. but i just can't, theres so much in that book that is either disgusting or just too fantastic to be true
if god came down to me and said "do you believe in me" i would of course say yes, because he actually proves his existence by doing that. that would be a decision. what you're explaining is something completely different
the word "decision" implies logical thought is involved. religion is built on the absence of logical thought

There's tons of historical facts within the Bible that a lot of people don't think about.
besides from that and other facts i dont have time to list, i formed my belief based on the process of elimination which almost every other religion i've looked at has some flaws in it. i then asked myself why i wasn't atheist/agnostic which was answered by this article:
"Several years ago, evolutionist Harold Morowitz of Yale, and currently professor of biology and natural philosophy at George Mason University, estimated the probability of the formation of the smallest and simplest living organism to be one in 10340,000,000. A few years following Morowitz’s calculations, the late, renowned evolutionist Carl Sagan made his own estimation of the chance that life could evolve on any given single planet: one in 102,000,000,000."

that means that the chance of life evolving on at least one of them is 490196078431 in 1 according to your numbers
ignoring that, this is absolutely not proof of the christian god, this is """""""proof"""""" or "indication" towards SOME KIND of god

why would god create satan if he is all knowing - god didn't create satan, satan was an angel that basically disowned god and created hell himself
why doesnt god just destroy satan - he will.. aka the point of judgement day..
why does god punish all of humanity for something adam and eve did - he knew ahead of time they were going to do this and basically planned for them to do so in order to give us free-thinking. before they had eaten from the tree sin was not possible.
