If a game was only available to people who live in a GMT timezone then people would be there when you get home from school (3pm - 4.30pm), and they'd leave when you have to go to bed (9pm - 11pm).
This way, people from Europe don't have to wait 3 hours from when they get home from school so they can talk to their American friends. Also, by having single timezone groups, all group training/raids/etc. would be easier to attend, as some people have to wait until 2am on weekends to attend some group activities from the other side of the world. |
