More like 100,000 dollars richer than the workers in America. Which is a lot.

I know. Why should the rich who own the labor, be treated better than the laborers?

#16046122Friday, October 30, 2009 8:29 PM GMT

hmm the video doesnt disproove my point that because egypt is a poor country that rich egyptians only hold enough money to be classified as high or low middle class americans. It is however wrong that the poor live in hovels they should at least more decent houses.

I'd say they live like the Upper-Middle class to the Middle-Upper class in America. They don't work, they own the factories where others work. Why should they get the money?
Jericho15
#16046489Friday, October 30, 2009 8:36 PM GMT

To own the factory is technically work. They have to manage their employees. cover people for work related accidents, Fire managers. Manage stocks, making sure every factory is producing a profit.

There is a factory in California that the workers are in control of. It works better than factories with managers. A worker controlled workplace is what is needed.

#16046691Friday, October 30, 2009 8:40 PM GMT

that sounds interesting though can you give me a percentage of how better they are doing.

Workers aren't downsized because the profit motive is taken out. The workers meet and democratically decide what happens within the factory. I can't give you the percentage, because I can't find it :P However, it operates better, while the workers aren't paid a dollar an hour. They are actually paid above what unionized factories do.

because they decide their pay roll so of course they are going to make more and whats it called.

Hot dog on a stick. would also classify worker controlled buisness' as like family law firms were the family like father and son work it.

I'm not sure about that. However these worker controlled businesses are doing better than Manager controlled businesses. A worker controlled workplace is Marxist, yes, but it works.

20% is a lot. Rio is a tourist city too. The fact that many people live in poverty in a city that is year round beautiful to see, is sad.
