I would like to see a change in this rating system. The main problem is you can't tell whether you are doing good or bad and what updates changed the ratings. You start out with a poor rating because the game isn't finished, Or it's missing what the public wants to see. Then when the game is done to everyone's satisfaction, and your recent ratings have gone up, you can't tell because there is still a bunch of thumbs down. Change thumbs to a graph rating. +2,+1,0,-1,-2. +2 requires a short statement of what you liked. +1 you liked but don't feel to comment. 0 would be placed each time someone played without rating the game. -1 you disliked and don't care to comment. -2 requires a short statement of what you didn't like. If either 2 was chosen and no comment is giving them it goes to 1 or -1 And this will all show up on a chronological graph. So you can plainly see how the game fares in a more accurate up to date fashion.

Abuse-able. You can just do a "." for the +2. Even if you add a character limit, all they would have to do is a random "ajhfbdxkvbswiavbiabvdijabvdksjcvaksvb" and boom +2 rating. I may have overthinked it, but still.

@junior If your going to take the time to write what you like/dislike than even a '.' will still be useful. Lazy people who would type agdfiewohgfh would most likely choose 1/-1 to save time. The idea with numbers is easier to graph chronologically and makes more sense.

@scac No, because if someone really strongly dislikes the game, then they will choose -2 and then just put "." just so that the creator has one less.

-2 doesn't mean you dislike more than -1. It simply means I didn't like that game , here's why. But at least it helps the developer. And it wouldn't matter if it was 1 or 2 because it is chronological meaning the -2 could be in the midst or at the start of the graph with a bunch of +2's surrounding it. You could see how an update faired and the graph keeps current games not what it was before the update. A graph also ends. you can only go back so far like the summary page goes back to the last year. People spamming would disappear fairly quickly. Your not stuck with a bunch of negative's on your game.
